Yıldız Aspava — Restaurant in Çankaya

This is a very authentic local restaurant. The service is typical for Turkey and you get spoiled by a number of free appetizers and deserts. To be precise, we got a total of 15 free items that complemented our order of three main dishes. That includes waters, salads, bread, deserts and chai. The food was very tasty and is not tailored towards tourists. Rather, it's what the locals eat, which is great. The service is quite fast, so almost no waiting time. We ordered a dish with eggplant (patladzhan), some lamb kebab and the delicious Kunefe desert. All that topped with some turkish chai in the end. Prices are very reasonable, that's why you can see a lot of young people visiting this place, which always seems packed. So don't expect a relaxed romantic atmosphere here, but a busy...

There are like 100 Aspavas in Ankara. This one was ok. We ordered the classic meat rolls which had a kind of challenging- to-bite bread. We asked for the one with cheddar cheese but it came with “kasar” cheese which is basically toast cheese. When I asked where the cheddar cheese was, they answered “farketmez” it is the same 😂 but of course it is not! The meat tasted good but the roll was not so tasty. With your order you get lots of side dishes like fries with cheese, cig kofte, and salad. After the meal they served us tea and kunefe. Each one of us paid 45 TL (November 2021) not bad but I don’t think I’d crave to go back there again...

Kesinlikle tavsiye etmiyorum yorumuma öncelikle bunu belirterek başlamak istiyorum. Paranız ile kazıklanmak istiyorsanız gidebilirsiniz. Detaylıca anlatacağım ama öncelikle şunu belirteyim; içliköfte ikram DEĞİL, bir adete 130 tl alıyorlar bilginiz olsun sonrası kasada şaşırmayın. İkinci olarak ise bir kutu ayranı 90 liraya satıyorlar resmen soygunculuk. İkramlar belirtildiği gibi sınırsız değil, gelen ikramlar patates, salata, cacık, çiğköfte ve mantar. Tatlı olarak ise soğuk baklava irmik tatlısı ve dondurma geliyor çay ile birlikte. Çayı güzeldi. İkramlarla ilgili detaylıca yazıyorum, tatlı ikramları dalga geçer gibiydi öyle göründüğü gibi değil. Yarım top dondurma, bir kaşık denilecek şekilde irmik helvası ve bir dilim soğuk baklavaydı. İnsan bunu getirmeye utanır. Ama tanıtımlarda fazla gösteriyorlar. Lezzeti ise iyi değildi normal denilebilir. Diğer ikramlarda çiğköfte idare ederdi, patatesler kupkuruydu hiç beğenmedik, salatası taze değildi ama idare eder, cacık deseniz iki kaşık ve tek yenilenen ikram ise çiğköfte oldu. Sadece mantar güzeldi. Ana yemekte ise etinden koku geliyor. Et kokusuna karşı hassas iseniz ağır gelebilir. Etin kalitesi de iyi değildi. Buraya aç giderseniz ve para sizin için mühim değilse deneyebilirsiniz. Ama bir daha aspava tercih etmem. Resmen para tuzağı. Hele ki yıldız aspavayı (özçelik aspava ile birleşen) asla tercih etmem. Lezzet ve fiyat olarak asla tercih edilecek derecede değil. Resmen hayal kırıklığı oldu bizim için. O yüzden tavsiye etmiyoruz gitmeyin. Ama pişman olarak ayrılmak isterseniz...
