An okay place, but definitely not up to Michelin "Bib Gourmand" standards. The portions are absurdly small—almost laughably so—and the overall experience lacks refinement. It feels like the focus is more on creating a superficial sense of sophistication than on delivering quality food.
The staff is snobbish, amateurish, and unwelcoming. Despite being nearly empty on a Friday night, they acted as if they were overbooked, desperately trying to appear "cool" but coming off as pretentious instead.
The food itself was equally disappointing. The tartare served on American potato salad was downright vulgar—a bizarre combination that simply didn't work. The tarama paired with turşu was another awkward clash of flavors. The pasta (Barilla) is good but was served in an almost comically small portion (around 50-60 grams), adding to the sense of being shortchanged. The cold cuts arrived on poor-quality bread without butter or any accompaniments, and while the duck was flavorful, it consisted mostly of rice with just a few thin slices of meat. The only dish that truly impressed was the octopus.
Ultimately, it’s just another mezze place trying too hard to stand out by reinventing dishes with mismatched ingredients, giving off the vibe that they consider themselves above the rest. In reality, it’s a tourist trap—an establishment seemingly run by an egocentric amateur chef more invested in aesthetics than genuine culinary expertise. Overrated and not worth the hype unless they improve both the portion sizes and the professionalism...
Read moreWe’ve been regulars at Foxy for a while, but our latest visit was really disappointing.
The service team had no idea of what they were doing and their combination of arrogance and inexperience was surprising.
We got there around 2:30 p.m. and almost all tables were empty, so we didn’t expect any issues. But right as we were walking up the stairs, a waitress blocked us and asked if we had a reservation, and her tone wasn’t exactly welcoming. When we said no, she just turned to another waiter, who didn’t greet us or anything. Instead, he asked how long we planned to stay because they needed the table back by 6 p.m. It felt unnecessary since there were still more than three hours left. After we said we’d be done before then, we were finally seated.
Even though the place was almost empty, the service was super slow. The staff seemed uninterested and snobbish, which made the whole experience feel awkward. The food was okay, but we couldn’t really enjoy it because of how uncomfortable the atmosphere was. We ended up eating quickly just to get out of there. Not once during our entire time at the restaurant did we see even the slightest hint of a smile.
The owner prides himself on being a respected name in the industry, but if I were in his shoes, I wouldn’t want to be associated with this place as it stands now. We used to believe the reputation wasn’t just about show, but genuinely earned. After seeing how things have changed, I’m no...

The fish with housemade pesto was nothing short of sublime, while the lakerda and topik offered comforting nods to heritage with beautifully modern execution. Each plate felt intentional, seasonal, and deeply connected to place. And the pairing local orange wine was otherworldly.
The staff are warm, the atmosphere is effortless, and the attention to detail is subtle but striking. Whether you're here for a spontaneous glass of wine or a long, celebratory dinner, Foxy offers a genuinely local yet...
