The food itself was good, but the service completely ruined our evening. We were a group of seven, and the waiter—an older man in his 60s who was far from welcoming—seated us. We placed our food order, but he never asked if we wanted drinks. When the food arrived, he simply piled the plates in one corner, leaving us to pass everything around ourselves. Still, no offer for drinks. His attitude throughout was dismissive and rude.
When it came time to pay, things got even worse. He brought the bill and card terminal, and when I took out my card to tap, he suddenly grabbed it from me, pressed it against the terminal himself, and told me to enter my PIN. It felt extremely inappropriate and disrespectful. I canceled the payment, took the terminal, and went straight to the manager to explain what had happened. Even then, the waiter refused to admit any fault, insisting that after years on the job he had done nothing wrong. His behavior was aggressive, unprofessional, and downright rude.

Firstly, service was great - a little slow at the end, but spoke good English, supported with the menu, made good wine recommendations - nothing to worry about here. Many items were forgotten or remembered incorrectly (t-bone steak became another type, still water with glass became sparkling water no glass, asked for pomegranate sauce - didn't arrive). Great to have a non-smoking section.
As I've seen posted before, the food was ok - just not great. I ordered the beef capacchio (cut too thick, drowned in lemon juice, missing the delicacy that should be in place - felt more like a chore to eat than a treat), T-Bone had no seasoning, sear or real flavour, sides nothing to boast about but sufficient, shepherds salad in a bowl 50% full of liquid and no seasoning... A lot could be learned here.

Read moreWe had a good experience in this restaurant. Before we ordered we clarified that the service tax was on top of all prices (10%), then VAT on top (10% on food and drinks, 20% for alcohols). Based on this we knew what to expect and the bill was as announced. We had regular medium cooked steaks which were great, we also had an entrecote, very savoury, and the tenderloin steaks, which were actually four thin slices of tenderloin, which we asked rare and were cooked as requested. Less tasty than entrecote but more delicate. Very nice. The meats were served with caramelized onions, spinach and potato wedges in spices, which were nice but not as hot as we would have liked, and seemed cooked a few hours before, a little dry. But all was tasty and we liked it. The waiters were nice and spoke a little English and played with the kids. So, globally a very good experience and more importantly very nice meet....
