Crowded, overhyped, and pricey — but if you take a step back and appreciate the setting, Limonluk Cafe does have its charm.
Set inside a beautiful glasshouse with European-inspired decor, it gives off a cozy, elegant vibe. It’s a nice spot to relax for a moment, especially after walking around the palace grounds. That said, the crowds definitely subtract from the experience. The noise and busy atmosphere make it harder to enjoy the ambiance fully.
Prices are quite high, but considering you’re inside the palace grounds, it’s somewhat expected. We stopped by around 13:00 and luckily didn’t have to wait for a table. We just grabbed some coffee and tea to warm up and wait out the cold.
If you’re already visiting Dolmabahçe Palace and want a short break, it’s worth a stop — but I wouldn’t come here just for the cafe experience. Manage your expectations: it’s a decent spot for a quick rest, not a must-visit...
Read moreOvercharged, slow, lazy. Poor food quality. All the servers would just wait around the cash desk and chat and then panic when customers walked in or when they needed to attend to them. She went away, and came back a minute later to say that one of us wouldn't get the food because they didn't have it, and the just walked away without letting that person look at a menu again. The drinks were mediocre at best, with the iced chocolate tasting like water with chocolate powder and the iced latte was okay at best. The food only came to one person in the end. The bill at the end was wrong, just adding already paid for items onto it. Just a slow service with...
Read moreAs it was a cafe we were looking forward to sitting down and having a coffee and enjoy the view. The menu did not have prices so we had no idea what anything cost. And they brought us the cheque as soon as the coffee arrived as if they were trying to get us out of there. We literally just had a sip and waiter tried to take the cheque book but we hadn't put any money as we were still drinking our coffee. Since the staff were persistent we decided to put the money in the cheque book and they grabbed it within seconds and came back with our balance. Once again we were still drinking our coffee and having a chat and was not in any rush to grab the balance. But no joke within a minute they came back grabbed the cheque book again and took the balance. It was the weirdest...
