MAMAMANTI — Restaurant in Beşiktaş

Visited Mamamanti to for the second time after a while. I was surprised by the price of the classic manti which was 260tl on the menu. I then noticed a Turkish customer sitting down and he received what I saw was a different menu with the classic manti at 170tl. I confronted the restaurant staff after asking for the bill. They had both menus on top of each other. They pretended as if it was the old and new menu (also prices are cheaper when you order online which confirm that they have 2 sets of menus). All in all an extremely disappointing and infuriating experience, I try to support local businesses and it is sad to see that you have to remain vigilant...

Was expecting manti but the meal was more like dough without the meat. They tasted fine but where is the meat in them?? My dumplings had pepper corn size meat in them, and I’m not exaggerating, literally 1/8” size meat balls:(( The service and atmosphere was great, it almost felt like you sitting at someone’s kitchen but my reviews are for the food and the food did not delivered, especially considering that the meal for 2 was $30+ So few stars are for friendly service only, but the meal itself was very disappointing. Unfortunately, menu with different prices for tourists. I saw the first ‘tourist’ menu (it is even in Turkish) and then later I saw the menu for locals (they tried to hide it quickly). The prices are very very different…Then they first tried to pretend it was an old menu, then they said it was actually for students (the person there was not a student), then made another third excuse. It is really disappointing.
