If you want to eat out, Hadi offers real value for money for quality food. For just over 1000 TRY you get multiple hot and cold mezze, a main meal and alcohol included - wine, beer or raki. All of the dishes were delicious too - it’s not easy to find superb Turkish cuisine at this price in central Istanbul. The spectacular view out over the Bosphorus just adds to the experience. In a sea of restaurants providing western-style food, my daughter and I happened upon Hadi Ocabasi. We sat in the rooftop room with views over the Golden Horn, and shared delicious mezze and chicken shish with a glass of each of Turkish white wine. Highly recommend. The staff are friendly and helpful and explained the menu, which is in Turkish, English and German. We had the roof to ourselves but the downstairs room is very lively, full of people and traditional cultural dances and shows from 10pm. You can also sit on the street, which is mostly pedestrians, if you’d like to watch the world go by....
