The "new enterprise policy" is just causing most of the customers (if not all) to feel that they are not wellcomed. As far as it seems, it is a take it or leave it policy, they are living the benefits of being one of few places that you can calmly sit and drink your coffee around Karaköy. No moving tables (ok, may be...), no moving chairs (hmm...), you cannot sit more person than the appointed chair number to your table (wha'?..) , if you must, they will only offer you a stool, and only one stool, not any more (you can only sit the number of people appointed to the table and plus one, but not more). Furthermore, you cannot use an empty chair, on another table no one is using, to hang your coat or change a chair if you feel uncomfortable, with another chair (like more hard to more soft) appointed to another table, all "because of the concept and enterprise policy". They are telling that it is a self service, that is fine, but in this era of technology, they force you to go to the cashier to check the menu, instead of just providing a squarecode (which by the way they reason with reducing human contact because of pandemic). As you can imagine there is a group of people around the cashier for the ordering period. In addition to that, after you paid for your beverages and etc "you" are the one to go to the other part of the store and order your drinks from the barrista. Ah, by the way if you order sth to eat, it is on the cashier part. However it should have been so easy just to install a programme and after payment just sent directly the order to the barrista, which will be preapared while you are waiting for the cookies etc, and collect when ready. Instead you will go to the barrista with a paper receipt ("go environment friendly service!") and make a walk between cashier, barrista, your desk (oh may be it is beacuse they care about our health and want us to move a little). During our 2 may be 3 hours tops visit we witnessed a tension between another customer and the owner, at a time there was only may be an hour untill closing time, in which the owner just moved the chair they used and bring a stool, although the room was half empty, telling that they cannot use the chair. Such nonse, such close time to closing, such a way of loosing customer. I drank, with so much pressure from my friends, some sort of herbal tea, which was nice, they also had coffe and cookies. Coffee was ok, cookies was not even worth your time, they said. I am not even commenting on the price/product/service comperament. It used to be a qo to place once upon a time. Not anymore...
Read moreSuper cute place but like other reviewers have said, the prices are not worth it. We ordered 2 smoothie bowls and they were each about 45TL, we knew this was a bit pricey but for that price we expected a 'bigish' bowl with lots of toppings (that's what makes smoothie bowls great). What we got was a teeny, very runny, sad looking smoothie w/ a little bit of coconut and berries. There is a reason why smoothie bowls are served on bowls and not cups, if you can drink it b/c there is nothing to chew on, then it's not a smoothie bowl. Coffee was also expensive and again we expected a larger size but instead we got a very average looking cappuccino cup. The cookie was good, the presentation was very nice, and the service was great, but all this didn't make up for the high bill. If you want cute pictures and know exactly what you want, go there. Otherwise, there are other cute cafes in the Taksim area that are less expensive and...
Read moreThe worst café experience ever! I asked the one who get the orders on the till "please make sure l want strong coffee " I thought she understood. Then they gave me a coffee with some vanilla cream and just a little coffee. I told her if they can change it to a stronger one.l have not touched it at all. She answered me very rudely and kind of blamed me on that ,also told me ask the ones who makes the coffee.l had to walk to the kitchen area and told the gentleman what happened. He then said its down to her who charged me for the coffee. I wanted to see the manager and the same rude girl told me it is not possible! She would not let me talk to the manager either she said. I am highly disappointed. She ruined my day. The only thing l wanted was having a nice coffee in Karakoy.l will never ever come here again and l would not recommend it AT ALL...
