My family and I recently stumbled upon a true treasure during our hectic vacation in the heart of the city – Kanatci Dayim, a local kebab shop that surpassed all our expectations. Despite being tired from a long day of exploring, we found ourselves enchanted by the delightful experience that awaited us.
From the moment we arrived, it was evident that Kanatci Dayim was not about fancy decor or pretentiousness; it exuded an authentic and welcoming ambiance. We opted to sit just outside on the road, where the aroma of grilled meat and spices tickled our senses, making our mouths water with anticipation.
With our appetites whetted, we decided to go for the mix platter, and oh boy, what a fantastic choice it was! The platter featured an assortment of kebabs, each one uniquely marinated and grilled to perfection. Succulent chicken, tender lamb, and flavorsome beef – all served with a side of freshly baked flatbread, aromatic rice, and a medley of crisp, refreshing salads. The explosion of flavors on our palates was simply extraordinary.
What surprised us the most was the generous portion size. The mix platter was more than enough to satiate the hunger of our entire family, leaving us satisfied and content. And the best part? The prices were incredibly reasonable, making it an excellent choice for families and travelers on a budget.
But it wasn't just the food that made our experience memorable. The staff at Kanatci Dayim were warm, friendly, and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of fantastic. They took the time to explain the different kebab varieties and even shared some of their local culinary wisdom.
Kanatci Dayim isn't just a restaurant; it's a celebration of Turkish cuisine and culture. Through its mouthwatering dishes, unassuming ambiance, and passionate staff, it transports diners to the heart of Anatolia.
As someone who loves supporting local businesses, I can't recommend Kanatci Dayim enough. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. Prepare to indulge in a gastronomic journey that will leave you with cherished memories and a craving for more. This hidden gem is a must-visit, and it deserves all the recognition for serving some of the most amazing kebabs we've ever tasted.

We had a mixed platter, which featured an assortment of kebabs, succulent chicken, tender lamb, and flavorsome beef. We got some grilled wings also.
It was plenty for 3 of us to be very satisfied. The staff here were very sweet people. That's why I wrote this. These places give character to Istanbul. If you love meat, like eating with your hands and licking fingers sometimes, and dont mind our local cats trying to seduce you while eating.. here is...

This is the place to be in Istanbul. I stayed for three nights, and I went there all three nights. I liked the fact that it stays open until 3:30 a.m., is reasonably priced, and has a very local and authentic late-night food vibe. I never expected a restaurant that stays open so late to be this good.
I’m very picky when it comes to food and don’t usually get kebab unless it’s exceptional. Plus, I have a fragile stomach and great sensitivity to spices. But this place is legit—they use fresh ingredients: meat, salad, yogurt—everything. I love this place.
