Osmanlı Kokoreç — Restaurant in Beyoğlu

Local food, local place, local people. Prices are a fraction of what is on the main strip, food comes out quick. It's simple, easy, cheap and full of flavour. I don't know what was in half the stuff I ordered but I was crunching on all sorts of pickled vegetables, chips, meat, etc. Pickled chillis on each table for you to pile on to your heart's content.

For about 90-150 lira you can fill your stomach for nine hours. The folks working there are super friendly and welcoming too, seems like the whole family...

Honestly, this place has been the only restaurant where someone has smiled at me warmly and genuinely! They took the time to explain the menu and didnt try to scam me out of a few liras like other places. They have one menu- not a local vs tourist menu like a lot of other places. I didn't have high expectations, but the food was pleasantly really good! The portions gave it even more value! I cannot...

If you are tired of tourist prices around Taksim area, you MUST try this Kebab food stall. Though the taste is a bit salty, but rich flavor and big volume with reasonable price with onion tomato salad! I ordered this plate in the picture but it is at only 150TL and it can even be shared with 2 people....
