Fu costruita tra il 1836 e il 1838 dall'architetto armeno ottomano Garabet Amira Balyan  (1800-1866), ma la parrocchia esiste almeno dall'inizio del XVI secolo. La chiesa ha ospitato il funerale di Ara Güler (1928-2018), un fotografo armeno-turco di fama internazionale, nell'ottobre 2018.Si può entrare nel complesso quando le porte sono aperte, ma non è esattamente il posto più amichevole da visitare. In entrambe le mie visite, il custode è stato piuttosto maleducato e riluttante a mostrarci la chiesa. Non sono ammesse foto all'interno.

Surp Yerrortutyun Ermeni Kilisesi ya da diğer adıyla Üç Horan Kilisesi’nin tarihinin 16.y.y.a kadar uzandığı söyleniyor. Aynı yerde daha önce bir çocuk okulu inşa ediliyor ve bu yapı daha sonra kiliseye çevriliyor ancak çıkan bir yangında yok oluyor. 1836'da Dolmabahçe Sarayı'nın da mimarı olan Garabed Amira Balyan ile birlikte Hovhannes Amira Serveryan ve Usta Minas Ağa tarafından yeniden projelendirilip inşa edilen ve bugünkü görünümüne kavuşan kilise 1838’de ibadete açılıyor ve günümüze kadar ulaşıyor.

There are lots of other -in terms of the interior- beautiful churches in Istanbul. This one is an Armenian Church, so is interesting to visit and be here.
