Patsosis is located in the middle of Istiklal Caddesi. I have been there twice—once in the afternoon for kumpir and once in the morning for breakfast. For breakfast, I ordered a toast and orange juice. I didn’t have high expectations for the kumpir as I never really understood the hype around it. However, I was hungry and it was close to my hotel. The fillings for the kumpir were decent; I chose three types, but in hindsight, it wasn’t nearly enough. I think some customers opt for many more fillings, which makes the dish more satisfying. By the time I was halfway through my kumpir, the fillings were already gone, and I ended up eating the rest of it without much flavor. Honestly, I didn’t find the kumpir worth the price – it's just a potato with some (cheap) fillings. I wouldn't order it again for that price, though it’s okay to try once. On my second visit, I had the toast, and I have to say it was disappointing. It was just two slices of regular toast bread with a small amount of cheese and sucuk (Turkish sausage). Definitely not worth the money. I didn’t look closely at the menu and had expected it to be something like Turkish bread, but the toasted bread was a letdown. I won’t be returning for a repeat visit, especially not at those prices. I didn’t try dinner, and honestly, I have no interest...

Such high hopes as the jacket potatoes and kebab looked nice. Placing an order is not clear and inefficient. After we placed our order, I went to get my potato from a guy who was smashing up the inside of the potato with barely any butter or cheese. He was absolutely stingy with the toppings and cheese when I asked for extra cheese as I didnt want any other toppings . He barked that it's extra for cheese, which I said fine I'll pay extra then he still didn't want to part with any cheese. Tight and the result was a dry potato! Also the kebabs are dry. No sauces apart from packets of ketchup and mayo. Below par for Istanbul!! We have just eaten a bit and abandoned the rest as it's inedible....

The guy who is taking payment is very rude, very unprofessional. Rude customer service. Has no patient. Food is terrible. We do not speak Turkish, he was so horrible to us because we only asked how it worked.

I order chicken wrap and chips.

The chicken wrap is the worst iv had in Istanbul.

My wife order the jacket patoto, she said it was good and value for money.

I wouldn't spend a penny in there after his rude service. Avoid this place. Rude guy. They make Istanbul visit horrible just because he has no patient.

Avoid this place.

Service -100 Food 3 for jacket patoto Value not worth it.

Spend your...

We visited patsosi Taksim to try their Kumpir (baked potato) with toppings. We ordered one beef shawarma plate, two chicken tawook, and three Kumpir. The restaurant had three levels, and the top floor offered the best view, overlooking Galatasaray Lisesi. Honestly, I was not impressed with the beef shawarma. It was overly oily, thin, and dry. The chicken tawook, on the other hand, was good. As for the baked potatoes, I didn't enjoy the toppings, and perhaps I didn't select the right combination. The prices were high, especially considering the quality of the food served. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant.

I recently ate at this Turkish restaurant and had a dürüm that honestly blew me away. The meat was perfectly seasoned—juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The wrap itself was warm and slightly crispy on the outside, and everything inside tasted super fresh. What I loved most was the balance: not too heavy, not too spicy, just right. The staff was kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt cozy but vibrant—like a little piece of Istanbul tucked away right here. If you’re craving something comforting and delicious, I 100% recommend trying their dürüm. It hit the spot!
