MADO restaurant used to be much better in terms of food and service. I loved this brand and every time I came to Istanbul and stayed in Taksim, I always ate only in these restaurants. Now the quality of food has become terrible, it does not correspond to what is written on the menu in terms of quality and standard. On the website and in the menu there are only photographs, but in fact, after ordering, they bring you something that you will never be able to find out unless you ask the waiter and he will answer you. I have always liked the combination of flavors and balance of ingredients in dishes, but now it has become like food from a low-quality eatery. This food is not worth the money. I do not recommend visiting these restaurants. Don’t spoil your mood for your own money. Don’t waste your time and avoid mado restaurants. This dessert only looks beautiful in the photo, although in fact it is a real sugar bomb cooked with...
Read moreWe were very disappointed with this particular location. Recently we visited Mado in Korokoy and enjoyed it very much. Drinks were just like the picture and had very delicious and distinct taste (pistachio milkshake). San Sebastián cheesecake was nicely presented with dark chocolate sauce on the side - overall we were happy with our choice of late night dessert. We decided to try this location and we saw many differences. We took San Sebastián and milkshakes again, however the cheesecake was drenched in milk chocolate sauce and the milkshakes had no pistachio flavor at all ( tasted like icy sweet water ) and they were nothing like the picture. It would seem the branches would have same food quality but we were mistaken. We hope to see future...
Read moreFood in the place is fair, but not amazing. It’s rather dull, but it is to be expected for a place more concerned with the table turnover rather than the quality provided to the customers. Their policy is straightforward “quick in, quick out”. Pricing is according to the taste: not great, not terrible.
Service was fair, once again, not amazing. Difficult to discuss with them as the english level is extremely limited.
Atmosphere in the place is also fair, given that it’s on one of the busiest streets in Istanbul. Feels crowded, a bit packed but understandable.
If you are in for a quick fairly priced bite, you’re good visiting the place. If you want a cozy, higher quality experience, I would say skip this...
