The best place where you can eat really Italian pizza. Pizza is baked with a wood fire oven and its ingredients are high quality. There are various choices and you can also add extra staff and create your pizza(i don't recommend because Serdar, the owner of the place, prepared a great menu)
The prices are reasonable but there are few tables in the room, i strongly suggest you make a reservation!
The wines, omg! There are both local and Italian collection of wines. If you can't decide what you drink with your pizza, just ask Serdar, he will help and he has a great taste. Actually you should visit just for drinking great wine :)
The wines which i recommend,;
White
Kocabağ Emir Kayra "Allure" Sauvignon Blanc Kavaklıdere "Egeo" Fume Blanc Usca "Sonnet 99" Viognier-Chardonnay Monte Tando Soave Classico DOC
Blush
Paşaeli Çalkarası Yedi Bilgeler "Lasos" Shiraz
Red
Primasole Primitivo Puglia Adalia Valpolicella Nodus Shiraz Dile D.Rosso Santero Kuzeybağ Öküzgözü Kocabağ Leo's Modus Ruffino Diren Kalecik Karası Likya Acikara Ciavolich'in Ancilla Montepulciano D'Abruzzo
After finishing pizza, you should eat homemade tiramisu(if it is left) and taste homemade cherry liqueur(winter) or homemade limoncello(summer).
Şarap menüsü gerçekten çok çeşitli. Hem yerel hem de ithal şaraplara yer verdiği menüde önerdiklerim;
Beyaz(pek tercih sebebim olmasa da)
Kocabağ Emir Kayra "Allure" Sauvignon Blanc Kavaklıdere "Egeo" Fume Blanc Usca "Sonnet 99" Viognier-Chardonnay Monte Tando Soave Classico DOC

Read moreWhile in Istanbul I was a little skeptical to try Italian and was I wrong. First of all the atmosphere is very relaxing even if it is a small shop you feel very intimate with the shop.
The pizza is made directly next to you in the wood burning oven. The chef rolls out the dough right in front of your eyes and within 10 max 15 minutes your pizza is at your table.
I had been craving some pasta as well and order the pesto pasta. Just as fast as the pizza the pasta arrived from the downstairs kitchen.
The taste was unbelievable. I like to think i know good food from great food. This was one of the best pizzas i have had worldwide and by far the best pizza in Istanbul. The dough was thin which i prefer. The crust was cooked to a crisp which had a crunchy outside and soft inside. The ingredients were amazing. You could taste each bite individually and everything combined together so well.
The pasta was fresh. The sauce was not overpowering but gave a great taste in your mouth. In fact I enjoyed the sauce so much i ended up dipping the pizza crust in the sauce.
They provide 3 different olive oils on the table. I tried the spicy version and well i need not same much. Amazing.
Highly recommend this place....
Read moreLocated on a side street off Istiklal Cd (Street) this small but cosy restaurant served some of the best pasta my family and I have tried. The steak and mushroom pasta was simply delicious and so was the bolognese pasta.
We ordered the margarita (a good choice if you want to see how good a pizza is in terms of its core ingredients) and con carne pizza after speaking to the waiter. However we found that it was not as good as the pizzas we are accustomed to enjoying in the UK. These were thin base pizzas but their quality was no better than supermarket pizzas that are cooked in a kitchen oven. In summary a let down in light of the reviews and ratings given on TripAdvisor. The con carne was more enjoyable than the margarita pizza but that reinforces the point about the sauce and base being below par.
The waiter had informed us that due to Ramadan they were short staffed and so considering that I felt the service was good. The prices are also very reasonable and so it definitely is value for money.
It's a shame about the pizzas as they had let this place down because the pasta had really...
