Lezzet-i Şark Antep Sofrası — Restaurant in Fatih

This is one of the best restaurants to get a quick bite in Istanbul! Food quality is high, service is always friendly and price is really reasonable. They serve authentic food from Antep, which is apparently the food capital of Türkiye.

I’ve been here 3 times already over the last two days. The first time was in a food tour group that came to have their lamb soup Beyran. So much flavour in that broth and definitely do squeeze lemon on top as it changes the flavour, and cuts through the fattiness of the soup.

The second time was to have their Künefe, yummy and the mistake I made was to take half of it home and I learnt it gotta be eaten then and there!

The third time I came for dinner and had their chicken skewers. Yummy and the waiters were very patient when I said the chicken was still raw so they cooked it a bit more. We were brought here from joining a food tour, and by this place in itself I think the food tour was worth it!

We ordered the Beyran soup, Kunefe and chicken wings, and I think they did the best soup and Kunefe here!

The Beyran is stewed lamb neck soup that was made for 15 hours, so the meat is the most tender and most flavorful with only a few seasonings added, I'm Asian so we usually drink soup with our meals, but I can honestly say this is one of my top 3 soups I've ever had.

the Kunefe wasn't so sweet which is how I like it, perfect ending after the soup and wings!

I can't stress enough how good this place is, so much so that I came back 3 more times after.

Definitely recommend this place, I think this is one of the place I'll be missing most from my travels...

Wow the food that they serve here is so delicious. We were only in Istanbul for 4 days and we came here twice. The first time I visited this place was on a food tour and I tried their lentil soup. Lentil soup sounds pretty simple but their ingredients and way of cooking make this soup one of the best I've ever tasted. Drizzling a bit of lemon on top makes it just a bit sour and absolutely perfect. Incredible flavor. A year later and I'm back to have more magical soup.

We also ordered their chicken dürüm which was filled with incredible ingredients. The chicken is grilled over a fire and it's juicy, smokey and full of incredible flavor and spices. Some salad is added to give a wonderfully fresh taste. Wow. This was one of our favorite places to eat...
