This hotel is an Oasis amongst the chaos of the markets. We were dropped by our taxi some 200 to 300 metres away from the hotel late in the afternoon. The market was in full swing, the hotel blends in with all the other buildings around but once you walk inside, it is amazing. The concierge caught our eye as we struggled through the market, so he rushed over through the crowded market to grab our cases and help us to reception, then eventually on to our rooms. The lobby of the hotel has AC which is instantly relieving when you step in from the heat of the day. The room was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. There is three lots of lighting in the room, so you can set the mood accordingly. The furniture in the room was of a high standard. The bathroom was on the small side but it was beautifully finished, the shower had an overhead and hand held shower heads. Toiletries are provided should you not have your own, we requested toothpaste from reception as we had run out and this was promptly delivered to our room. The hotel offers breakfast only in the mornings, with free coffee any time of day should you wish in the 5th floor dining area overlooking the city. The views from the glass balcony over the city are phenomenal. The breakfast spread is large, which i am sure offers enough variety to cover most peoples dietary requirements. The location of the hotel allows easy access to the boat tours and markets, specifically the Grand Bizzare which my wife was interested in. There is an array of restaurantas in close proximity to the hotel, with the pier 500 metres walk offering restaurants, bars and live music. This hotel from the outside is unimpressive but once inside it opens up to a magnificent setting making for a relaxing break. Note, the reception desk can arrange for the taxi to get alot closer to the hotel than our original taxi driver tried and the hotel also provide a concierge service to the taxi.

I stayed with my family from the 6th-12th of August and we absolutely loved it. My sisters and I stayed in the loft room and had an amazing view. (If you want a view of the mosque kindly ask the hotel in advance, they can’t guarantee it but for us they were able to accommodate.) I’ll list the benefits of the hotel: - The location: 7 minute walk to Eminou which is a pretty pier with loads of restaurants/galata bridge and where you’ll be catching trams/buses/ferries. Next to the hotel is the Spice Bazaar which was busy in the day. We had small kids and were absolutely fine we liked the business of the area. In the night it was very quiet but never unsafe or dirty as other reviewers have said it’s a public street not a red carpet. I would highly highly recommend people to stay in Eminönü as it’s much less expensive than Sultanahmet and quick to get there. - The breakfast: There’s loads of options, if you’re british and need bread and egg they do both and have a toaster. If you don’t like the scrambled egg you can request the kitchen to make you an omelet and say what you want added. My only tip would be if you’re used to an english tea bring your own teabags, I didn’t see a normal tea bag there but that’s to be expected when you’re in another country as they have their own version of tea. They had loads of pastries and Turkish bits and pieces. The view from the terrace is stunning and was my main motivator for booking the hotel. - The staff: Firstly the housekeeper was absolutely lovely and our towels were replaced daily and the rooms were cleaned well. Secondly, the staff at the hotel are lovely, one night we made the mistake of using an Istanbul taxi and the guy was essentially getting into it with us causing a fight which one of the guys at the desk helped us out with. Please please don’t use any form of taxi whilst in Istanbul the public transport especially the trams is great.

We were VERY disappointed with the room that was given to us ! ! ! DO NOT BE MISLED by the advertisement photos used. DO NOT BE MISLED by their website’s description of “where the expectations of our important guests are prioritized”. Because we certainly didn’t get our Expected room (Paid And Requested Weeks In Advance) as per advertised. Just a disclaimer, this hotel’s advertisement photos of a dreamy view overlooking the rooftop of a mosque are probably just only 4 out of 30+ rooms they have here. So, you have to be somebody “important” (as per their website. As if Not all of their guests are important) to be luckily picked to stay there even if you have already paid for The Superior Room WEEKS in advance and even if you have requested of the room with the mosque view. Instead, we were given a cold very ordinary room (not worth the price paid, as per Istanbul going rate) and an awful sight of a building outside our window (attached photo). And already, we’re hearing conversations of other guests and other noise outside by the corridor, hearing the traffic, hearing the noise outside. Not to mention an annoying sound coming out of the ventilation when central heating is turned on. So folks, bring your earplugs! And take note where this hotel’s location is: within the spice bazaar complex where it’s busy and loud and chaotic. If you are bringing big luggage, dragging it around all the busy-ness and not-so-flat tiled path can be challenging and hectic. We say, just stay away! There are better-priced hotels nearby. We would have been happy to cancel this room they inconveniently gave us if only we were allowed to get our money back ! P.S. Emre, the staff who checked us in was not so pleasant either. Me and my partner travel alot for business and we know and appreciate a good costumer service when we meet one whatever country we fly to. This one Needs Training.

I had the pleasure of staying at Mest Hotel Istanbul Sirkeci, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Although my trip was last year, the memories of this hotel still hold a special place in my heart.

One of the standout features of this hotel is its prime location, right in the center of the main attractions and surrounded by vibrant energy. From the moment I stepped outside, I found myself immersed in the captivating atmosphere of Istanbul. The hotel's proximity to the main bazaar and shops allowed for easy exploration and an authentic experience of the city's bustling charm.

The staff at Mest Hotel Istanbul Sirkeci couldn't have been more amazing. Their positive energy was contagious, and they displayed a genuine eagerness to assist at any time. Their exceptional level of service went above and beyond, ensuring that every guest felt valued and taken care of. They were attentive, accommodating, and truly dedicated to ensuring our happiness and satisfaction throughout our stay.

Although the room view may not have been the highlight, the breathtaking view from the rooftop where breakfast was served more than made up for it. From this vantage point, I was treated to a panoramic vista of Istanbul's iconic skyline, creating a mesmerizing backdrop for a delightful morning meal. It was a perfect way to start the day and appreciate the beauty of the city.

The overall experience at Mest Hotel Istanbul Sirkeci was exceptional. The hotel's charm, coupled with its convenient location, made it a fantastic choice for exploring Istanbul. The memories created during my stay will forever be cherished.

I would gladly choose to stay at this hotel again in the future. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, combined with the attentive and helpful staff, create an experience that is hard to forget. I sincerely hope that the hotel cat is doing well too, as its presence added an extra touch of charm to the...
