Beta Tea House — Restaurant in Fatih

With our young daughter, we entered the location. We intended to have Turkish coffee while unwinding a little. while we were inside, moving from store to store. My daughter needs to go to the bathroom. One of the employees (a lady) rudely stopped us with a wild attitude while my wife was taking her to the restroom. "Did you shop here?, where is your receipt?, if you don't have receipt you cannot use restrooms, go away," she rolled her eyes and asked us in an abrasive manner. She walks back and forth while muttering (seen was incredibly annoying). We calmly stated to her that our daughter needed to use the restroom and that we could not bear these formalities.

She keeps being really disrespectful and impolitic. To make sure my daughter uses the restroom, I must locate manger. Even after I spoke with the manager, we still did not feel at all comfortable. Manager essentially dismissed the circumstance, not concurring that the employee's behaviour was improper. Soon after, he vanished with the secene. The majority of high class area managers are required to follow and assure the customer that this kind of attitude and behavior is unacceptable. Once my wife and daughter had exited the bathroom. We were afraid to continue drinking our Turkish coffee inside the restaurant. We were concerned (had a feeling) that they would add something unsavory to it.

It appears that they do not educate their employees and are purely motivated by financial gain. The location is of very poor quality and serves as a tourist trap. It is a poor portrayal of TR, and local governments should outlaw or regulate these kind of establishments. Human interactions and attitudes lag 40 years behind the average. The chocolate I purchased was average—nothing extraordinary. I don't think I'll ever make a purchase...

Baktım çok kalabalıkta değildi ortam ve atmosferi beğendiğim için uygun bir yere geçtim oldukça ilgili güler yüzlü kibar genç bir arkadaş ilgilendi benimle hatta ürünüde o önerdi “melisalı mate” giderseniz mutlaka deneyin yumuşacık içimi var ve yanında bol tereyağlı ağızda dağılan kurabiye ikramı ☺️ siparişimi hızlıca getirdi sağolsun, Sonrasında eşimde katıldı bana biraz durup kalktık o kadar çeşit var ki diğer çayları incelerken online siteden baktığımız asıl almamız gereken çayla poşettekinin aynı olup olmadığına bir an emin olamadık sebebide sitede 2 ana içerik belirtilmişti ama benim aldığım pakette limon tatlandırıcı içerdiğini okudu eşim e hazır oradayız soralım dedik genç arkadaşımız başka birileriyle ilgilenmesine rağmen ona danıştık o da aynı değil ama sorun yok fişiniz elinizde mi bir bakalım emin olalım dedi tatlı tatlı kasaya geçtik. kasada YETER adında bir çalışan vardı biz üçümüz ürünlere o mu bu mu doğru mu değil mi diye bakarken birden kendince değişik hal ve tavırlara girdi eşim ben ve genç arkadaş birbirimize baktık şaşkınca ilk etapta bir durduk sonra YETER isimli çalışan susmayınca biz kendi aramızda bakıyoruz hallediyoruz zaten siz karışmazsanız dedik, bir şaşırdı bir bozuldu haliyle beklemiyordu normal bir insan durur değil mi? Durmadı ve susmadı biz de öyle niye susalım zaten daha da hadsizce tepemize çıksın diye mi? Dedim ki adınız neydi şikayet etmeden olmayacak daha da üst level A çıktı hem cinsimden utandım vallahi, gidiyoruz hala peşimizden bi şeyler söylüyor hatta ona hakaret ettiğimizi falan iddia ediyordu ciddi anlamda tehlikeli ve çok garipti olmayan bişeyin olduğunu iddia etmek değişik bir ruhsal durum, terbiyeden bir haber çalıştığı ve maaş aldığı yere gelen misafire saygısı olmayan, mekanın itibarını son derece kötü gösteren hal tavırlarıyla ses tonu ve vurgularıyla rahatsızlık veren haliyle onu baş başa bırakıp han işletme sorumlusu Bilal Bey’in yanına gittik çok kısa yaşanan olumsuz ve şaşkınlık verici durumu anlatıp eğer mümkünse kasa bölümündeki kamera kayıtlarını incelemesini rica ettik, o kadar kibar ki hemen durumu toparlamaya telafisini yapmaya çabaladı sağolsun, çok efendi ve düzgün karşıladı bu durumu, teşekkürlerimi sunuyorum kendisine 👏 Umarım uyarılır ve başka misafirlerinizde bu çalışanın şerri ile karşılaşmazlar 😇 YETER isimli çalışanla bu şekilde muhatap olmaktan dolayı ekstra rahatsız...

While visiting the beautiful Tahtakale, we accidentally stumbled upon Beta Cay. We were greeted by a freshly renovated courtyard that gave off an atmosphere of a medieval Turkish cay bahce. After a cup of tea, we decided to pick up some coffee from their store.

We did not expect to enter such a beautiful place. The store was built on the basis of an antique coffee roaster. The original floor was preserved and visible thanks to the transparent floor.

After looking around for a bit, I was guided by Mehmet Bey, the young owner and entrepreneur of Beta Cay. He showed us the old fire place where the coffee would be roasted. Then he helped me decide to pick up some amazing teas.

This store is a must see for tea enthusiasts and coffee drinkers alike and serves as a quiet place to take a break from the busy streets...
