Ah, where to begin with my culinary adventure at this Italian "gem"? First off, hats off to the chef for redefining pizza. Who knew that charcoal-black dough could be so... innovative? And the cheese – oh, the cheese! It was a marvel of modern science, somehow defying the laws of thermodynamics by being colder than my ex's heart. Truly a frozen wonder in a supposedly hot dish.
Then there was the pasta. If you're into scavenger hunts, you'll adore their pasta with ragu sauce. It's like playing 'Where's Waldo?' but with sauce and parmesan. I think I found a whole two grams of cheese – a new record! The pasta was so barren, I considered it might be a new minimalist art piece.
And let's not forget the 'crispy' courgettes. If by crispy they meant drenched in more oil than a teenager's T-zone, then they nailed it! It was less 'crispy courgette' and more 'oily surprise'. A true wonder of the culinary world.
The pièce de résistance, however, was the service. Asking for a bit more parmesan was met with a quizzical look and a reminder that my pasta already had its microscopic serving of cheese. How silly of me to expect more than a dusting! It's not like Italian cuisine is known for its generous use of cheese or anything.
All in all, if you're looking for a dining experience that defies expectations (and not in a good way), this is the place for you....
Read moreOur first visit to this italian restaurant. The restaurant is beautifully laid out and you feel like you are in Italy. The staff were attentive. We shared the bruschetta, it was delicious. Main courses (presentation needs some work)my husband had the veal which he said was fab, i had the chicken, tbh it was average, chicken thighs (was expecting breast)in a small amount of sauce and very little pasta. My daughter had a pizza which she said was really nice.. Drinks...No italian beer! So the bog standard efes, efes malt and efes tuburg which were all 92tl!! Which we thought was overpriced, same for the wine, 92tl for a small wine..large water 30tl (750ml)which is standard.
Only one toilet for both men and women to share, which just wont work, needs to be cleaned regularly.
Overall i think this has the making to be a lovely restaurant but they need to be careful that they dont out price themselves as there are other top end restaurants we have been to, were food is plentiful, presented well and not...
Read moreNothing Italian here… except the name of the place.
I ordered a burrata listed as being for 2 to 4 people. What I got wouldn’t even be enough for one person — yet I still paid the full price. The burrata had no flavor at all, supposedly “homemade,” but even the cheapest supermarket burrata tastes better. No seasoning, no character, and the presentation was sloppy and unappealing.
The service was just as disappointing. We had reserved a table outside for 8 PM, and even received a strict message beforehand: “be on time or your table will be cancelled.” We arrived on time… only to be told there was no table available outside. They tried to seat us indoors, even though we clearly requested the terrace when booking. After refusing, we had to wait another 10 minutes before finally being placed outside. So what’s the point of reservations if you give the tables away to others?
Overall: flavorless food, poor organization, and nothing close to a real Italian experience. A big disappointment — I would...
