Food quality: Croissant with smoked salmon - good. Not bad. Not majestic. :) medium-sized croissant (freshly baked), nice combination of ingredients. I'd put more salmon. :)
Scrambled eggs - decent scrambled eggs with salad leaves in olive oil on the side. Yum!
Filter coffee - was too strong for me. I think I could have asked for a bit of hot water to fix it to my liking, but I was too sad for extra interaction. Big cup! Hot! Black! Just as filter coffee should be.
Prices: Coffee price I guess ok. Same as in coffee shops around. Food prices... Seems a bit overpriced, even for a touristy town. But I guess there's nothing else to expect from a non-Turkish cuisine place, considering Kas has been flooded with so many people. Demand is high, hence the prices. What to do.
Ambience: Good. I liked it. Quiet non-posh garden. One thing - a leaf fell from the tree right into my plate. Good I've finished my food by then. Because looks like the tree is sick - the leaf was fully covered with some sort of small white maggots. But I'm not a tree doctor. It did not spoil my visit. Adding this to the comment cause I would like to be informed about such details when I choose a place to dine in on google maps :)
Service speed: Food came in fast! Amazing! The place was not loaded with guests. Maybe 30% of the tables were taken. Coffee, on the other hand...One of the slowest filters I've got :) but not an issue either. It was hot. So all good.
Interaction with the restaurant ppl (I don't like using the word “staff”): Good experience. Not rude, not overly polite, not cheesy friendly. Human. Thank you for...
Read moreFika Garden is a nice oasis within the center of Kaş. It has a nice courtyard with comfortable couch seats and table options. Their menu is great. It reminds us of cafe's in metropolitan cities around the world. I would say it is like cafe's in Cihangir in Istanbul, Greenwich Village in New York or Islington or Soho in London. When I talked to Kaan, the manager and the son of the owner of the cafe, he said that the name was influenced from 'fika' concept in Sweden. Apparently, fika is the time of day when Swedish people make time for a cup of coffee or tea with maybe small dessert and catch up with their friends during the day. Fika Garden Kaş would definitely provide that space for you. Coffee they serve is from Petra Coffee in Istanbul which is one of the best. Their San Sebastian cheesecake is delicious and light. Have not tried their breakfast yet, but the Acai bowls looked yummy. Definitely make a stop here when...
Read moreIt’s a cute breakfast and brunch spot in Kaş. They have a nice garden with cozy ambiance. The service is nice and friendly. We had Cortado and Espresso but they were acidic so we didn’t like them. It’s probably about their coffee beans. We ordered croissant 🥐 and it never arrived although it was kept in the bill. It was probably simply forgotten. Açaí bowl didn’t taste like açaí at all. I guess they add a tiny bit of powder in the mixture. It tasted like just a frozen berries mixture to be honest and the texture was very liquid. It should have been a little bit thick according to the original recipe. There was a warm in my girlfriend’s granola bowl. When I informed the staff they told us that it must have fell down from the trees but I’m afraid it came out from the granola. Maybe they are right I don’t know but our overall experience was neutral...
