Salkım Ocakbaşı Meyhane Kaş — Restaurant in Kaş

EVERYTHING,was horrible! I travel for food,I can distinguish good and bad food. Adana kebap,Urfa kebap were not good at all. Not fatty,not tasty. But instead stuffed with bread. Felt like hard patties. Real adana kebap should have so much animal fat that you shouldn’t be able to hold it with fork. It should fall off. Also,they didn’t use onion in the recipe. Ali Nazik- same story. Cold and not made well. Gavurdagi Salatasi- i thought it was the only good piece,but actually my friend later informed about the hair she found in it. I can go on and on. Also, let me tell you how oddly fast was the service. We arrived here at 7:30pm. The appetizers were served literally 1.5 minutes later and the main dishes followed it in 30 seconds. We were big surprised because you must know,that in normal restaurants they serve you appetizers,wait for you to finish them. Then they ask you if you want to be served the main dishes. HERE, nothing like that happened. So basically the food served cold and became even colder when we started to eat them. I felt like they want us to leave asap because we didn’t order alchohol. I can’t give it another explanation. So,please don’t get fooled by fake reviews in turkish saying that everything was good,because they posted 50 reviews yesterday right after my husband posted his honest review. Shame on you! The mezes were incredible, Tzatziki was fantastic along with the houmous. The breads and flat bread was also very good! The meat was cooked to perfection. Bulgar wheat rice was lovely and perfectly cooked. We will be returning again before we leave Kaş.

Surprisingly visited some much more expensive establishments and this was still the best for quality, price, general value. Would highly reccomend going here.

We did find the ordering of the Meze's slightly weird... You don't order them with your waiter, you have to go up to the counter and order them? Aside from this abnormality, everything...

Salkım is one of the most delicious restaurants we’ve tried during our stay between Kalkan and Kaş. We had a wonderful family dinner in this charming and authentic place. The food was absolutely outstanding, with a special mention for the variety of grilled kebabs – full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making us feel truly welcome. The terrace is beautiful, with a great atmosphere that makes the whole experience even more special.
