Chinese & Sushi Express — Restaurant in Kadıköy

I ordered the Manhattan roll (the one on the far left in orange), the crunchy roll and the caterpillar (the one with the avocado).

The place was beautiful and clean and the service was super fast and friendly. But for a foreigner who is super familiar with sushi and wanting an authentic sushi taste and experience, this will probably not satisfy them.

The fish was fresh, but that’s probably the only positive regarding taste unfortunately. The sushi rice, I am pretty certain, was not seasoned at all with vinegar, sugar or salt. It needed lots of soy to give it that sodium kick.

I had asked for spicy mayo on the side, but they didn’t have any and I got the regular mayo instead. I didn’t finish the caterpillar roll as it was mostly rice and cucumber.

Price was pretty expensive for what I actually got and I unfortunately wouldn’t recommend this place for someone...

The sushi here is absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. There’s a wide variety to choose from on the menu, which makes it even better. Since it’s really hard to find good sushi in Istanbul, I can honestly say this place is a true gem and I highly recommend it.

Huge props to the service staff and especially to the owner, who genuinely takes care of his guests. He personally checks in to see if everything was okay, and if something isn’t quite right, he’ll do his best to make it better. His recommendations were spot on.

Me and my friend were thinking of eating sushi but as we couldn't find a nearby promising restaurant, we quickly gave up the idea. But when we were going back, we came across here and it was the best coincidence that we had. The sushi was amazingly delicious, never enjoyed sushi as much as I did today. Also, when we finished eating, we were given fortune cookies which was totally unexpected yet so sweet!
