Really poor and disappointing. I have been past this place many times so was keen to try it out. Made a special trip tonight; ordered the chicken soup and the "Juliet" chicken (advertised a julienne chicken with veg). Soup was nice but the main was delivered before I'd finished it despite my requests for time between courses. The Juliet was awful. Nothing like in menu pictures and maybe the worst chicken I've ever had. It was obviously frozen - ok that happens but the chef clearly had no idea how to cook it from that state. It was tough chewy and generally unpleasant. Advertised with a chimmi churri sauce but instead a huge glob of mayo was lumped on the side of the mostly empty skillet of terrible chicken and soggy vegetables. I'm so happy I didn't get the more expensive steak. It seems like the meal was cooked and served by people who have never eaten or tried the food they serve or cook. How can one cook or serve food they don't know? I realise now it's a franchise but in a way I feel that should mean the chefs should be trained for consistency more than a small indi place. I had two glasses of wine both of which were awful, small and more expensive than each course - essentially doubling the bill to over 35 euros for one. The music was nice but it's an awful place to dine. Thank god I did not embarrass myself by taking a date here. There are better chefs at the burger king a...
Read moreNone of the staff was ready to help, no one even looked in our direction, when we tried to get a menu. A guy washing the dishes said we could get an online menu, which is not available without mobile internet. Even if you have mobile internet access, you can only order something if you authorise with a local phone number, which is something tourists do not have. Finally, the guy pointed us at a paper menu, which was just a folded sheet of paper with a menu printed in Turkish. Ha-ha! An overpriced menu. By that time we spent about ten minutes in the place still with no one willing to help us or at least turn to us. The waiters kept smoking by the doors as if they had nothing to do with the place, even though they were wearing uniforms with the logo. The place was practically empty, so I cannot say it was a rush hour. And at last I felt the table was dirty, wet and sticky, and I decided to leave. Still no one even turned a head to us. Worse...
Read moreDrinks took very long to be served. Our food arrived first. The Food is okay but the girl with the curly hair has an attitude and tried to give us tea that we didn’t order. When we couldn't understand her speaking turkish she got mad at us and took an ice coffee off our table that wasn't even finished yet. We did not ask her to do that and she didn't ask us if she could take it. Seemed like she wanted to punish us for not speaking turkish. We felt very awkward and not welcome. Services needs to be better for these prices. Especially in such a touristy area.
As someone who has managed hospitality business in the past I would advice the owner to reconsider keeping her employed. She makes the restaurant look bad and will stop people from coming back.
It's totally fine if somebody doesn't understand a single word of english. But getting mad at customers and just ignoring that they don't speak the local...
