Saigon - Taste of Vietnam YAS Mall — Restaurant in Abu Dhabi

• I think it was the first time I had eaten ethnic Vietnamese food, and I loved it! The SaiGon is a restaurant inside the Yas Food Hall (at Yas Mall) with counter service, it's a unique but enjoyable experience. More importantly, the food was delicious!

• The service was simple. Although the waiter brought me the menu (very kind!), I had already placed my order using the QR code on the counter. It was very easy and practical. The service was fast; the food arrived within a few minutes, which was great because I was hungry.

• I decided to try a classic noodle dish, the Beef Pho M, which includes sliced braised beef brisket and beef tenderloin (62 AED). I also had the classic Vietnamese cold tea, a very good regular green tea (12 AED). Everything tasted great, and I highly recommend it. [Prices from August/2024]

I had the pleasure of dining at Saïgon in the Yass Mall, and I can confidently say it was one of the best Vietnamese meals I've had outside of Vietnam. Being of Vietnamese origin myself, I’m usually quite picky when it comes to authenticity — but this place absolutely nailed it.

Every dish was bursting with the rich, balanced flavors I grew up with. The ingredients were fresh, the presentation was beautiful, and the taste was simply incredible. A special highlight was the Vietnamese coffee — perfectly strong, sweet, and smooth, just like it should be.

A huge shoutout to Larry, who made our experience even more special. He was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, recommending dishes that turned out to be absolute hits. His passion for the cuisine really shone through.

I forgot to take the pictures but this is the second time I have visited this restaurant and you would think it is average food based on it food court inspired location but for anyone who has had authentic Vietnamese food before would agree with me that the flavors are amazing. On the last visit we had papaya salad, seafood noodles and pho. The papaya salad was very fresh and light and compared to many restaurants who put too much garlic here the flavors were perfect. The noodles were just a delight every bite was like a burst of well combined flavors. The Pho the broth is just heavenly. Even after the meal you feel light and full but not heavy.
