This restaurant holds a great rating of 4.4 out of 5. Majority of the people who review and love to have good food will trust the reviews and go ahead to have food here and so did I with my friends today.

All of my friends including me wanted to try some selected food from here. We went and took a seat and the waiter comes and gives us the menu. After 2 mins, this bald waiter comes and asks our order and it took us quiet sometime to tell him the order as we were just increasing the quantity of the same food so me and my friends decided to order 2 normal chicken shawarma, 1 mexican chicken shawarma and 3 falafel shawarma. The waiter while we were telling him the order kept looking at the other side, not caring about what we are ordering and telling him since a minute and he takes our order and goes. Then, another waiter comes and serves us plates with spoon and forks, and then again the bald waiter comes and while my friend was reading the menu, he snatches away the menu from his hand and goes. Till this part, we were patient enough to bear this horrendous behavior.

Exactly after 2 minutes, the same guy who has given us plates and spoon/fork, comes and takes away all what he gave us and left the table empty again and this time he gives us one khubus basket and goes. Our food came in sometime and we started to have our food.

I don't know why but the shawarma was OK at its best. There was no juicy-ness in it, it was dry, no tahina or neither any garlic paste was in it and all the time it felt like we were just munching chicken, I understand it is a chicken shawarma but it felt so horrible while eating. Later, we moved into having our falafel sandwich and to my shock it was even worse. It was a cold bread which just had cucumber, salad and one or half of falafel stuffed into it which was just like a frozen sandwich. The bald waiter just kept staring at us like we had a personal issue with him. I honestly don't know why this place has such rating where staff does not even know how to serve people politely, the way they treated us seemed like they were unhappy with our small orders but being a reviewer who has been into the most pocket friendly places to posh places to have food, even in the smallest order in a posh restaurant will never judge you or make you feel uncomfortable this way because their restaurant is making an earning and that is what matters to them.

I am laughing at this point while typing this line, but then another waiter just took the basket of khubus also, like they don't even care if we will have it now or later, they just want to take away everything from your freaking table. While the bill was ready, the bald guy told us to pay right away in the table itself when I kept insisting to pay in the cash counter which is the same thing as the table and he was giving a bad attitude. I personally went to the manager and explained all this issue and all he said was ''OK'' so personally he does not give a damn about it.

A small suggestion to people who show such horrible attitude, remember we pay for eating and we don't eat it for free, so learn how to show customer satisfaction so the customer returns to your restaurant with his/her last experience.

I will NOT recommend this place to people at any cost. I am surprised they did not take the money at least before we had our food or received our order. :))

Highly...

Simply AwesomeđŸ˜đŸ„°A Culinary Journey to Syria at Aroos Damascus, Sharjah

If there is one restaurant in Sharjah that truly embodies the essence of Syrian cuisine, it is Aroos Damascus. This place is not just a restaurant—it’s an experience, a vibrant slice of Damascus brought to life in the heart of the UAE. From the moment you step in, the aroma of freshly grilled meats, the warm scent of freshly baked bread, and the lively atmosphere transport you straight to the streets of old Syria.

Ambiance – A Bustling Syrian Haven

Aroos Damascus is always alive with energy. The open-air seating, the sounds of sizzling kebabs, and the cheerful conversations of families and friends create an atmosphere that feels both grand and homely. The restaurant is spacious, welcoming, and perfect for both intimate dinners and large gatherings.

Food – A Symphony of Flavors

The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish here is prepared with care, bursting with rich, authentic flavors. Some must-try dishes include:

Grilled Mixed Meat Platter – Tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The lamb chops melt in your mouth, and the kebabs are simply out of this world.

Shawarma – Arguably the best in Sharjah. The perfect blend of meat, spices, and creamy garlic sauce wrapped in soft, warm bread.

Hummus with Meat – Smooth, creamy hummus topped with sizzling, spiced beef—a heavenly combination.

Freshly Baked Bread – Brought to your table warm and fluffy, it perfectly complements every dish.

The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served.

Service – Hospitality at Its Best

Despite being packed most of the time, the staff at Aroos Damascus handle everything with impressive efficiency. They are friendly, attentive, and quick to serve. Whether it’s recommending the best dish or ensuring your table is never empty, their hospitality is top-notch.

Final Verdict – A Feast Worth Remembering

Aroos Damascus is not just a restaurant—it’s an institution. It’s a place where flavors dance on your palate, where every bite tells a story of Syrian heritage. Whether you’re a local, an expat, or a tourist, this is a place you simply cannot miss.

If you haven’t dined at Aroos Damascus yet, you haven’t truly experienced Sharjah’s food scene. It’s a meal you’ll remember long after the last bite, and a place you’ll keep coming back...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Aroos Damascus Restaurant, located in Bin Rasheed Al Khoory Building in Sharjah. As a lover of Middle Eastern cuisine, I found the experience to be quite delightful, with a few minor areas for improvement.

Let's start with the food. Aroos Damascus offers a wide variety of authentic dishes from the rich culinary traditions of Damascus. The flavors were robust, and the ingredients tasted fresh. The menu features a range of appetizers, main courses, and desserts, allowing diners to explore the diverse flavors of Syrian cuisine. The highlights were the succulent grilled meats, flavorful mezzes, and aromatic rice dishes. However, I felt that some dishes lacked a bit of consistency in terms of seasoning and presentation.

The restaurant's ambiance is warm and inviting, with a cozy Middle Eastern atmosphere. The decor is tasteful, featuring traditional elements that add to the overall charm. The seating arrangements are comfortable, and the staff is attentive and friendly, creating a pleasant dining experience.

While the service was generally good, there were a few instances where the wait staff seemed overwhelmed and could have been more prompt in attending to our needs. However, I understand that busy periods can be challenging, and I hope the management will address this to ensure a consistently smooth dining experience for all guests.

One area where Aroos Damascus truly excels is in its value for money. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality and authenticity of the food. It's a great place to enjoy a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.

Parking can be a bit challenging in the vicinity of the restaurant, especially during peak hours. It would be beneficial if the management could provide clearer instructions or alternative parking options for guests.

In summary, Aroos Damascus Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its authentic flavors and cozy Middle Eastern ambiance. While there is room for improvement in terms of consistency and service during busy periods, the overall experience was enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Aroos Damascus to anyone seeking a taste of Damascus...
