Al Maskoof is a hidden gem that exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere immediately set the tone for a wonderful dining experience. The food was absolutely outstanding. The Dolma was rich, perfectly seasoned, and full of authentic flavors, while the Machkhol Tuna was fresh, tender, and simply unforgettable. Each bite was a delight, and it’s clear the chefs pour their heart into every dish. What truly stood out, beyond the incredible food, and the impeccable service. We had the grilled bone marrow, the bone marrow and meat rice, mixed grill and Meat Kabsa. The food was saltless and very very oily. The mixed grill included spare parts and it was not written in the menu. The meat in the kabsa was bitter. Very disappointed with the food especially since the beginning to our experience with the restaurant wasn’t good either. We had made a reservation for 8:15 as there would be a long line, we were not given ANY prior notice of any buffer time nor anything mentioning the reservation being cancelled if we’re late. We arrive at 8:15 but due to the narrow road and no proper valet system, it was difficult to enter the restaurant. We were told to wait for a table as our reservation was cancelled!

Visited after some while. So many good memories attached to this restaurant. Well as it happens, all the good memories went down the drain with my experience today. Horrible service, food quality dropped big time but most regretful of all is the loss of Iraqi hospitality. Being served by people who are alien to the culture and have not been trained at all to say the least. Had to ask for each thing even after placing the order. Items brought in bits and pieces after constant reminders. At the end itt was unbelievable having no tahina dates or proper Iraqi tea.
