If you're looking for a delightful culinary experience in Dubai Creek Harbour, Aqaya is a must-visit spot. The moment you step in, it feels like you've been teleported to some mediterranean coastal place. The display cases are filled with an impressive array of sweet and savory treats. Everything is beautifully presented and looks almost too good to eat.

But don't let the appearance fool you - the quality of the baked goods at Aqaya is top-notch (dare I say Michelin-quality even). I have visited twice now, and have had a completely different set of items each time. The croissants were firm, flaky and buttery, the coffee strong and flavorful. The food was enjoyable, with diverse textures and flavors. However, the real star is the dessert selection. It is easy to say I have never had anything like this- it is literally art with food.

The staff at Aqaya were also friendly and welcoming. They were happy to answer any questions I had and provided great recommendations.

I'm obsessed with all things pastry, and ever since I stumbled upon the term 'bakefectionery' on a stroll through Dubai Creek Harbour, I was incredibly intrigued and eagerly waiting for Aqaya to open its doors.

To my pleasant surprise, this snazzy new spot is so much more than your average bakery and confectionery. Not only do they have an impressively extensive restaurant menu of everything you could dream of and more, but also on offer are the most magnificent looking cakes, handcrafted chocolates, house-made croissants and danishes, supremely indulgent and Insta-worthy plated desserts, gorgeous mocktails; the list goes on. Think hip urban restaurant & café meets artisanal pâtisserie meets luxury chocolatier.

After having sampled a bit of everything, right from croissants, sandwiches, pizzas, burgers, pastas and salads to mocktails, smoothies, chocolates, danishes and desserts, it's fair to say that Aqaya does it all with impeccable finesse. It's only been a couple of hours since lunch, and I'm already planning my next visit.

Absolutely in LOVE with Aqaya Bakefectionery! I've never come across a restaurant with such diverse offerings before and the ambience couldn't be more perfect.

I tried several items on the menu and couldn't find a single fault in any of them. The star dishes for me were the Togarashi Croquettes, Shatta Dajaj, Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich and Founder's Fried Chicken - probably the best chicken I've ever had!

Oh and the desserts! The plated desserts are truly anything but ordinary and SO delicious. I tried the Caffeine Kicker, which looks like an actual coffee cup until they pour hot chocolate sauce over it and you realize the whole thing is made of the most decadent chocolate! It truly is every chocolate lover's dream :')

I also took home a set of 32 chocolate bonbons for my family and believe me when I say we wanted more even after finishing the entire box! They're the prettiest little treats and each flavor is so unique.
