Bento-Ya Sheikh Zayed Road — Restaurant in Dubai

First time trying authentic Japanese food.

Was actually better than expected.

Although I'm interested in Japanese culture and cuisine, I've never really tried Japanese food other than a couple of times wagamama, which is arguably kind of westernised, so I figured I'd try bentoya.

While posting this I realised I forgot to try their ice-cream, so maybe I'll go again. I hope they'll have vanilla then because they didn't this time.

I had gekikara spicy ramen and grilled karubi bento.

The karubi is was kinda like beef bites so it wasn't especially fulfilling, or I just need to manage my expectations 🤣

One thing I liked is that the bento had English descriptions under all the items instead of doing it the way gazebo does - explaining Hindi words in Hindi.

They offer Esaad discounts but the dishes were more expensive than I thought they would be.

Bentoya is my favorite Japanese restaurant whenever I come to Dubai. This restaurant incorporates all the nice things that Japanese culture represents, not only the food itself, but also the ambience. The food is always fresh and delicate and is presented elegantly with all the Japanese nuanced sensitivities. Their desert collections are exceptional as well! The waitresses who seem to be mostly Filipinas are very polite and are happily attentive to customers' need, especially the restaurant manager Mitch was a very attractive Filipina lady who knows how to treat her customers. This is casual Japanese restaurant and in my opinion one of the best in Dubai that I have been frequenting for years and it will be tough to beat at the price point. They indoor seating and during the winter outdoor as well. They have a very wide range of menu items including sushi, sashimi, Bento box, noodle bowls and Dons. All the food is fresh and of very high quality and is served very hot. In addition, they also have a huge range of drinks on offer too.

As to service, they are very fast indeed and the waiting staff are very friendly and willing to help. On top of all this it is very reasonable priced, I would go as far as to say the price is quite cheap considering the quality of the food you are eating.

The decor of the restaurant itself is quite basic but I don't think one should expect much more. It is clean...
