Visited this newbie in Al Nahda for dinner the other day. Firstly, as you drive towards it, you can easily spot it. Coz of all the lights and a super bright signage. Ample parking outside too. The ambience is brightly lit with comfortable seating. Clean place and very spacious. Can easily accommodate a big group too. Cozy and comfortable couches.
As the name suggests, the menu has a huge collection of different types of Biryani. The Menu is extensive and has a range of wide dishes to choose from.
They have a mix menu of Mughlai and Chinese. Pretty elaborate and a lot to choose from. We ordered the Following: Chicken Lollypop – Loved it as it is sauteed in a nice spicy gravy. The pieces are soft and quite meaty. A huge portion of 8 pieces.
Half Grilled Chicken – Great marination and succulent pieces. Grilled to perfection.Very Soft.
Tandoori Promfret Loved the masala! The fish is huge and has a great marination. Very fresh and delicious.
Mutton Chops I loved the Mutton Chops! It was meaty and grilled to perfection. Lovely flavors.
Green Chilli Paste Chicken Biryani – For the first time I have eaten a green masala biryani. I must say it is truly unique and has a very amazing flavor. The base masala is really amazing and you can instantly feel the difference from the regular biryanis. The Chicken is boneless and is very succulent. A must try.

Read moreBiryanis and More opened up a few months back in Al Nahda, Dubai. With multiple locations in the US, India, Canada and Australia, this is their 60th branch. Brightly lit and roomy interiors, we visited on a weekday and were surprised to find the restaurant packed. They specialize in Hyderabadi and Andhra Cuisine.
For drinks, we ordered a Mix (sweet/salty) Lemonade and Butter Milk (Chaach).
For starters, we ordered Kalmi Kabab – the name does not match the dish. These are Mughlai-style chicken drumsticks served with green chutney. The chicken was tender and quick off the bone. It was slightly on the spicier side. Second starter was, Palamuri Mutton Fry. This is one of their house specials and a must try. Mutton fry cooked in a semi-dry masala. The meat is exceptionally tender and the masala is amazing. It’s not too overpowering, and just perfect.
For mains, we ordered the Ulavacharu Chicken Biryani – Ulavacharu is a delicacy from Andhra Pradesh. It’s a Horse gram seed, which is cooked for over 24 hours in various spices. The chicken is then marinated in the resulting sauce. I have never tried or even heard of it before, but I must say, it was simply delicious. I love being introduced to new flavors and this hit home. It tastes great and smells amazing. Our second biryani was the Gongura Mutton Biryani – Our server explained that Gongura is a leaf that is locally grown in Andhra and is known for leaving a slightly sour/tart after taste. The mutton is cooked in Gongura leaves and other spices and then served on a bed of Biryani rice. Again, it was quite different and worth trying. All Biryanis are served with a side of Mirchi Ka Salan and Raita, in traditional Hyderabadi Style.
Honestly, we were having a hard time choosing so our server suggested he would get us a taster of Khubaani ka Meetha, Gajar ka Halwa and Double ka Meetha. The Double Ka Meetha is the Hyderabadi version of Shahi Tukda and I liked it in particular. The other two were good as well.
Our Server Usman was exceptional. The manager stopped by to check on us and explain the merits of Andhra cuisine. A delightful...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of trying out Biryani and Biryanis, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. We ordered a spread that included Mutton Dum Biryani, Chicken Dum Biryani, and Double Ka Meetha.
Mutton Dum Biryani: The Mutton Dum Biryani was undoubtedly the highlight of the meal. The aroma of fragrant basmati rice, tender mutton pieces infused with spices, and the perfect balance of flavors made each bite a treat. The meat was cooked to perfection, moist yet not overly greasy, and each grain of rice was infused with the essence of the spices. It's easy to see why this dish is a favorite among biryani enthusiasts.
Chicken Dum Biryani: Equally impressive was the Chicken Dum Biryani. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the biryani had a rich taste that comes from slow cooking over low heat. While it didn't steal the spotlight from the mutton version, it held its own and was thoroughly enjoyable.
Double Ka Meetha: Moving on to dessert, the Double Ka Meetha was a revelation. This traditional Hyderabadi dessert was a sweet, indulgent treat that perfectly complemented the spiciness of the biryanis. The bread was soaked in sugar syrup and garnished with nuts and raisins, creating a delightful contrast of textures and flavors. It was so good that I found myself craving more even after finishing it.
Overall Experience: Biryani and Biryanis not only delivered on taste but also on presentation and service. The packaging kept the food warm and fresh, and the delivery was prompt. Each dish was meticulously prepared, showcasing the expertise and passion of the chefs.
Final Thoughts: If you're looking for authentic biryanis that hit all the right notes of flavor and texture, paired with a delightful dessert that leaves a lasting impression, Biryani and Biryanis is the place to order from. The Mutton Dum Biryani and Double Ka Meetha stole my heart, and I can't wait to indulge in their...
