Restaurant Review: Dhaba Lane, Al Nahda I recently visited Dhaba Lane in Al Nahda for a meal with my family, and while the food itself was flavorful and well-prepared, the overall dining experience left much to be desired due to the service. We ordered two Veg Thalis and an extra Garlic Naan on the side, planning to enjoy a leisurely meal. I also requested one additional Thali for takeaway. However, the waiter informed us that the Thali could not be shared, which seemed odd considering it was an "unlimited" Thali. When I asked if we could make one Thali limited, the waiter seemed reluctant and a bit unpolite, but we proceeded with the order. My wife and I shared one Thali, while my brother had the other. We also ordered two glasses of Chaas and a Cutting Chai. Unfortunately, the service was painfully slow. Despite the Thali being advertised as "unlimited," when we requested a refill for the chapati, it took an unreasonable amount of time for them to bring it out. This delay, coupled with the unfriendly attitude of the staff, made us feel unwelcome—as if we were doing something wrong by simply asking for what was promised. My brother eventually gave up on waiting for the refill, and we left the restaurant feeling disappointed. The manager did try to explain that the Thali is usually served in the afternoon, but this did little to improve our experience at the time. We ended up paying a total of 178 AED for three Thalis, two Chhaas, and a Cutting Chai, which felt steep given the lackluster service. In conclusion, while the food at Dhaba Lane in Al Nahda is genuinely tasty, the service falls short. The unpolite staff and long wait times made what could have been an enjoyable meal quite frustrating. I hope the management addresses these issues because the quality of the food deserves...
Read moreNew branch of Dhaba lane restaurant in Al Nahda-2 area. We visited on weekdays for dinner with family and upon entering Dhaba lane , I was immediately captivated by the vibrant ambiance that resembled a traditional Indian Dhada. Restaurant had great turnout despite of weekdays. The service at Dhada lane was attentive and courteous. Despite the busy evening, the staff ensured that we felt well taken care of throughout our meal . We ordered butter chicken, kebab, naan and kulfi. The flavor were authentic and the spice were skillful balanced to create a harmonious symphony of taste and the presentation of the dishes was very exceptional and joyful. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly Kulfi , it was delicious and Yummies.
While the experience at Dhaba lane was enjoyable, I must admit that the price were on the higher side. I would recommend for special occasion or when seeking an authentic Indian...
Read moreA new addition to the Al Nahda area, although Dhaba Lane has been there for a while, this was my first experience at the newly opened restaurant here in Al Nahda. We started off with snacks ordering the tasty Dahi Puri, presentation was great and taste was even better. For main course we order the Mutton Briyani and Curry Pakora with Roti. The Mutton Briyani was out of this world. Something I have never tasted before. Full of flavor. The texture was perfect and the meat was unbelievably soft. The curry pakora was also very different but definitely yummy. We have the Rasmalai for desert, amazing!! And then to end a nice cup of a perfectly made Cutting Chai. Overall we have a great experience, the atmosphere was we warm and the staff were very welcoming. Food was served pretty fast compared to other specialty restaurants even though the place was kinda full. So will definitely go by soon and I also...
