A Delightful Culinary Adventure at Al Baik
Rating: ★★★★☆ (4 out of 5 stars)

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Al Baik, a popular fast food chain known for its delectable Arabic cuisine. Despite the crowded evening, I was eager to try their signature dishes and see if they lived up to the hype. Spoiler alert: they did not disappoint!
First on my list was the BIG Baik, a mammoth-sized chicken meal that has become an icon in its own right. Packed with succulent, tender chicken pieces coated in a crispy, golden batter, it was love at first bite. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of spices to tantalize my taste buds. The portion size was generous, making it a great value for money, and the fries accompanying the meal were crispy and flavorful.
Next up was the falafel meal, and I must say, Al Baik nailed it. The falafels were crispy on the outside, revealing a moist and well-seasoned interior. The accompanying pita bread was fluffy and fresh, complementing the falafels perfectly. The addition of creamy tahini sauce and tangy pickles elevated the flavors to new heights. It was a vegetarian delight that even the most devout meat lovers would appreciate.
The fish fillet wrap was another highlight of my dining experience at Al Baik. The fish was beautifully cooked, with a crispy coating and tender, flaky flesh. The wrap itself was well-constructed, featuring a soft tortilla filled with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and a zesty tartar sauce that added a burst of flavor. It was a refreshing departure from the usual fast food fare and left me wanting more.
While the food was undoubtedly impressive, the only downside to my visit was the crowded evening. It took a bit longer than expected to get my order, but the friendly and attentive staff made up for it with their welcoming demeanor and willingness to assist. The budget-friendly prices made Al Baik an excellent choice for a satisfying meal that won't break the bank.
In conclusion, my experience at Al Baik was a delightful culinary adventure. From the mouthwatering BIG Baik to the flavorful falafel meal and the delicious fish fillet wrap, each dish surpassed my expectations. Despite the crowd, the staff remained friendly and accommodating. Al Baik is undoubtedly a go-to spot for anyone seeking quality Arabic fast food that won't empty their wallets. I highly recommend paying a visit to Al Baik and indulging in their...
Read moreThis fast-food restaurant is placed in a peaceful spot inside Union Coop and comes with the bonus of free parking. Lots of people come here because the prices are fair and the food is really yummy, especially when compared to other places that serve fried chicken and nuggets.
Something different here is that they don't have a regular menu on paper. Instead, they show it on TVs. If you're visiting for the first time, you'll need to take a bit of extra time to read the menu on the TV so you know what to order. If not, you might feel confused when you try to order at the cash counter after waiting in a long line.
After you order, they'll give you a receipt with a token number on it. Then, you have to stand in another line to pick up your food. When you get to the food collection desk, they'll take your receipt and the token number and ask you to wait for 5-10 minutes.
When your food is ready, they'll call out your token number. It's really important to remember that number or take a picture of it, or you might feel a bit lost (is that your number they are calling for?). The seating area inside is quite small, so it's better to get your food takeaway.
In short, the food here is delicious, and the prices are good. However, they could make things better by changing how they show the menu, manage the lines, and give additional token numbers. So, if you want tasty food without spending too much, this is a good place to go. Just make sure you're ready for the unique way...
