Chowpatty Khatta Meetha — Restaurant in Dubai

I always say n strongly believe that good n delicious food is not expensive and CKM proves it 100 percent. For all that we had today our bill was Aed 50/ only😊 Spoke to the chef and service staff, they were very nice and attentive. It is a startup hence small n bit cramped. One shop of approx 300 sq ft is split in to kitchen, store and small sittings with few chairs outside. It is a pure vegetarian restaurant and has several Options to choose from. We ordered tea that was freshly brewed desi style and served in ceramic kulhad, wud have been great if it was original clay cups. Tea was delicious as back home and not too sweet. Tried samosas and the potato stuffing was good, the tamarind and mint chutney was fresh n tasted very nice- tangy + minty spicy. Samosa coating was thick and we gave our feedback to the staff, it should have been crispy n less thick. Then we tried dahi bhallas, they were too good n yummilicious. Just the way it should be but we found the core of Bhalla was very hard and the staff replaced it immediately. This was soft and exactly the way it should be👍

Finally we ordered Delhi chola bhaturas and were left super impressed. 😋 2 big Fluffy freshly made hot soft bhaturas (were not refried and served oil soaked like other places or made of semolina n all purpose flour) with tea leaves colored choley, a potato and masala green chilly, served with fresh carrot, radish pickle, onions and a green chilly. Mouthwatering stuff👌😋 we have been in the emirates for nearly 3 decades and hail from the indian capital and great foodies with hospitality and international experience. Were in top 10 food reviewers once😊 we try to give our genuine feedback that may be useful for everyone but good food always depends on the chef/cooks and if they are replaced it is immediately noticeably in food taste n quality. After having lived in Dubai for 10+ years, we had never discovered this absolute gem of a restaurant!! Until our music guru Amit Sirji took us with him and introduced us to this place.

We were simply floored by the quality of this restaurant. We have been to many good pure veg restaurants like Punjab pure veg, Chhappan Bhog, Kamat etc. But this tiny, humble restaurant easily surpassed them all!!! You have to visit here once to believe the same.

Their Chole Bhature was out of the world. Paneer Makhni was outstanding, never eaten this like before. Laccha paratha was simply too good. Papdi chaat looked and tasted unreal - the elderly gentleman from the next table peered over at this dish and asked what was it called!!

The staff are down to earth, homely and friendly. Milan soon became our friend. Then finally, the price - easily 40% lesser than any of the bigger brands.

This restaurant truly deserves all the accolades it can get for serving such brilliant fare... It won't be too long for it to become a Big big...

Great Place great food a little gem in al Karama. I am a foodie and honestly a good little humble chill out place that services amazing chola bhatura and Moolee paratha with some amazing sides, the paratha had a generous filling of moolee and comes with some achar and a great yogurt dip nothing fancy but clean and smooth and thick which was really nice and the chola was amazing lovely chola with bhatura which was fluffy yum and the sides were lovely sweet onion with green chutney, fried mirch and the picked crunchy carrots with lovely pungent mustard oil yum yum 😋 loved every bite . Staffs were hospitable and friendly. Never judge a book by its cover the boys may not have fancy outfits and the place may not have fancy blinking lights or a red carpet but the food is good and simple with loads of flavor taking you back home and the manager seems really excited to enthusiastic and friendly too Take care and...
