On my final day in Dubai, I found myself wandering the vibrant streets of the Burjuman area when I stumbled upon a culinary haven – Punjab by Amritsr, a renowned vegetarian restaurant chain. Intrigued by the promise of authentic Indian vegetarian fare, my taste buds were ready for an adventure.
With a heart full of culinary curiosity, I engaged the host in conversation. Eager to dive into their specialties, I sought recommendations. Among them, Aloo Kulcha stood out. My appetite was also tempted by the prospect of indulging in Chole Bhature, so I decided to go for both. The host graciously informed me that ordering Aloo Kulcha would make Chole Bhature a challenge due to their hearty portions – a delightful revelation that sparked excitement.
To complement my meal, I followed her advice and ordered a glass of traditional Desi Lassi. As the order took its time, I recalled the saying, "Patience is rewarded with sweetness," and soon enough, my patience bore fruit – or in this case, delectable flavors. Greeted by piping-hot Aloo Kulcha paired with a refreshing glass of chilled Lassi, my senses were intrigued.
The first bite was a symphony of textures – the audible crunchiness of the Kulcha mingling with the velvety melt of butter. The Chole, though subtle, harmoniously danced with the Kulcha's flavors. It was a moment of pure gastronomic enchantment that exceeded my expectations. As the friendly host had advised, the serving was indeed abundant, a fact I appreciated as I savored every bite.
The staff's warm demeanor and impeccable service added to the experience, creating an atmosphere that felt like a home away from home. Not to be overlooked, the Lassi was a delightful companion – a cherry on top, as they say. Its rich, almond-pistachio flavor perfectly complemented the culinary journey.
For all those embarking on a Dubai adventure, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to Punjab by Amritsr. It's not merely a restaurant; it's a celebration of flavors, culture, and culinary finesse that deserves a spot on every traveler's itinerary. 🌱🥟🥂 #DubaiDining #VegetarianDelights...
Read moreManager’s arrogance ruins the experience – staff deserve better leadership
The restaurant itself is good, and the waiter staff were working tirelessly to handle the Navratri rush. I truly want to thank them for their effort — they were polite, attentive, and managed the crowd as best as they could under pressure. They deserve genuine appreciation.
The real issue was with the manager (name was either Manesh or Mukesh). While waiting nearly 30 minutes for a table, I ordered lassi and juice for my friends who were fasting. Even though it was clear we were waiting to dine in, the refreshments were handed to us outside as a kind of temporary/takeaway order. The quality and quantity of what was served outside was far below standard, especially when compared to the exact same items we later ordered inside after being seated. The difference was so obvious that I encourage future visitors to check carefully for themselves — it felt like a money-making gimmick.
When I specifically raised this issue with the manager about the refreshment quality and quantity, instead of listening or offering any explanation, he was rude, dismissive, and acted like guest concerns were unimportant. To make matters worse, while the waiters were running around managing the entire crowd, the manager himself was sitting comfortably on his phone watching a match.
Good food and hardworking staff can only go so far — one careless and arrogant manager is enough to damage the reputation of the whole restaurant. Unless he is retrained or replaced, this kind of attitude will continue to push loyal...

Taste - 5/5 Ambience-4/5 Service-2/5
We visited on a Saturday and the restaurant was full as always. The taste and quality were suoerb as always, but their service levels were low as the staff wasn't able to manage the large crowd. They weren't short of the service staff, but the kitchen staff seemed under pressure due to the large number of orders. The service staff had to be searched for repeat orders, which was indeed annoying. Orders were delayed, and the soup, starters, and main course were served simultaneously. If the service levels are managed during peak hours, this could be one of the best Indian Vegetarian Restaurants in Dubai.
TIP for Customers- Never visit during weekends and peak hours. TIP for the restaurant management - Please focus on improving the order to delivery speed (for walk-in customers), and you'll be one of the best in a highly competitive...
