[Last Visit] I’ve been to Coya Dubai easily over 30 times. The food is consistently superb, the service is good. I’ve done their Pisco Sour Master Class and also their Ceviche Master Class. Both a handful of times. I love taking friends to experience great Peruvian food. The brunch is ok, they are really tight on the drinks. It takes them about 20-30 minutes to get you a new drink and they don’t offer their best food in the brunch menu, is a bit of a disappointment. However, the food is still very good. Tito is overall a great manager and makes us feel welcomed. I will always wish this spot tons of success. Generally everyone is great and friendly. Had a couple of issues with stuck up bartenders treating me like a lower class citizen, but what to do. Management itself didn’t care after I flagged the problem. As long as you aren’t dealing directly with the bar staff you’ll have a great time. I recommend the veal heart skewers (weren’t available for a very long time), the tartufo ceviche, the patatas bravas with extra sauces on the side (worth the price to get extra sauce), and pretty much anything else on the menu. My favorite part to sit at is the elevated area of the restaurant by the windows. [First Visit] This is best modern Peruvian food you can get in Dubai. I’ve been to Coya to celebrate birthdays, go on special dates, and to get friends who’ve never been exposed to Peruvian food to try it. Every single time I bring someone new to Coya, they leave speaking wonders about the evening. They love it so much not only because of the superb food but also due to the impecable service. The portions are quite small, but you are at the Four Seasons and they’ve positioned themselves as fine dining so it kind of makes sense. All the dishes are incredible but the seafood in general is fantastic. All the ceviches and tiraditos are delicious but their truffle ceviche is out of this world. Make sure you leave room for dessert and try their Pisco Sours. Their ceviche making class which happens once a month is also fun. Grab a friend, girlfriend, or boyfriend and enjoy yourself at the ceviche bar with a couple of the chefs I’m yet to try the brunch, but I’ve heard is fun. Can’t wait to go back!

We decided to dine here on a weeknight. Did not have a reservation but we were accommodated right away by the friendly hostess. The ambience is lovely, both plush and also warm and welcoming. Service was very good, our server explained the drinks and dishes so that we could make an informed decision. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. No complaints about food or service- both were well appreciated! My only 2 disappointments were : 1) the “Agua de leche” cocktail I ordered was delicious but served in a small (50ml?) glass with a huge block of ice in it…the ice occupied almost the entire glass with only a little of the actual drink surrounding it….so after 3 small sips the drink was over. This really felt like a bit of a short change. I ordered 2 of them but after 6 sips I felt like it was futile. I’m not a big drinker but I sometimes like to enjoy a cocktail with my meal. This one was delicious but the equivalent of 1/4 serving size you would expect. This was the same for a non-alcoholic drink we ordered- same glass size, same huge block of ice, the drink was over in 3-4 sips. Very disappointing as basically we were paying around 70 aed for a block of ice with a small shot of cocktail/ mocktail. 2) We ordered a cappuccino which came with individually wrapped (in plastic) sugar cubes! So wasteful and environmentally unfriendly. A restaurant of this calibre could easily find a way to serve sugar without so much plastic waste. C’mon Coya you can do better on the above 2 items. Other than that it was a lovely meal and we may return….Although there are many restaurants in Dubai with fantastic meals and more generous with their cocktail serving size.

We had a lovely dinner here. Our friends who live in Dubai booked it and I’d heard good things back in London so was very excited to go along and check it out. The setting is beautiful at the Four Seasons Hotel and you already feel like you’re in for a good night as soon as you arrive. We only had our table reservation from 7pm to 9pm so the waiters were rather keen to get our food order in asap (which was a bit difficult as we were so busy catching up after not seeing our friends in such a long time). However, the waiters were very friendly and knowledgeable about the food, so happy to give us recommendations which we appreciated. I will be honest and say that the food was good, but as mentioned in some other recent reviews, I was expecting spectacular (especially for the price!) so we were a little underwhelmed. Cocktails were fabulous however, and come 9pm, we vacated our table but were moved to a larger table in the bar area to have dessert and continue having drinks. This was great. The music was loud but did start to get a little too loud towards the end of the night as the party crowd arrived so we decided to drink up as conversation was nearly impossible. That said, the DJ was on point and the music was great. All in all, we had a lovely evening but with all of the other amazing restaurants on offer in Dubai, I’m not certain that we would return.

Very Romantic settings (dim lit), stunning interior, and friendly service are the first things you notice about this place. I decided to get the taster menu option for 450 AED, mind you that there is a two person minimum for this. But I had to see what the fuss was all about, so I felt it was worth the extra cost. I felt one plate wouldn't give me a full impression but they are a little more reasonable in price. Still be expecting to pay around 200 AED though. We were started with their Ceviche, which includes sea bass in a lemongrass ginger sauce (love), salmon (love), another fish in a coconut milk base (good), their red snapper with truffle sauce (signature, but I couldn't stomach this) , and a Peruvian fruit salad (again, not my cup of tea). Moved on to the appetizers, all full of flavor. Then the main courses, wow some had great kick. And finally desert (so unique combinations of flavors). All in all a great experience. I recommend coming here fully; even though both my date and myself turned away 4 of the dishes, all of the others were the best I have had in years. I met up with the manager who was attentive to my feedback, and was thankful we had a good experience overall. Hope my pictures help as well.

Amazing food - delicate, sophisticated, elaborated, very tasty. Very well thought combination of ingredients and their contribution to the taste of the dish. The tacos de salmon and croquetas de lubina were fantastic. My husband had the baos con res wagyu and said it was quite nice too. The arroz nikkei (their signature dish) and the sea bream fillet were also very tasty. The sea bream was a bit spicy, so just be careful with that. Since I do not have any issues, I ate with pleasure. The desserts were a bit too sweet: chocolate fundido comes with a very sweet melted center, it was a bit sickening. The churros was a bit better, the sauce had a nice combination with orange, but still quite sweet. In terms of ambiance, it is a bit dark for lunch, more of a party place to go in the evening. In any case, it is a place we would go back - especially as it is always nice to be back in Four Seasons.

Everything you should know about Peruvian cuisine in one place outside Peru! I do adore Dubai exactly for that. If you are about to get to know all cuisines of the world but you don’t have enough time to travel the globe, come visit Dubai. As far as Coya specifically is concerned it will take a long long long to describe all the specialities of the restaurant. I’d personally start with bites to tease one’s receptors;) and then ‘d make a choice for larger parts. The only thing that could probably disappoint you is the lobster. The quality is the top but it tastes that differ from what you usually get that it could really surprise you. So I’d skip that expensive dish in favor of more traditional Peruvian stuff. By the way even ordinary (from the first sight) batat will blow your mind away giving the taste of something new and amazing.
