We recently dined at Hisaya Japanese Restaurant, located inside Stella di Mare Hotel in Dubai Marina, and it was truly a memorable experience! Since parking is limited in the Marina area, we opted for the hotel valet, which was very convenient.
We arrived around 7 PM for dinner and were warmly welcomed by the staff, all dressed in actual traditional Japanese kimonos, complete with the signature wide obi belt tied at the back, creating that classic pillow-like bow. The elegant layers, wide sleeves, and vibrant fabric patterns made the experience feel even more authentic and culturally rich—like we were transported straight to Japan.
The restaurant was packed and buzzing with energy. Almost every table was occupied, but thankfully, we had a reservation for our group of eight. Our table was thoughtfully set in a semi-private corner, giving us a cozy space to enjoy despite the busy crowd.
We took full advantage of their unlimited side dish promotion, and each dish exceeded expectations! The California Roll was refreshing with creamy avocado, crabstick, and cucumber, topped with tobiko and Japanese mayo. The raw salmon and tuna sashimi were incredibly fresh and buttery, practically melting in the mouth. The assorted sushi was beautifully presented and well-balanced in taste. The edamame was perfectly steamed and lightly salted—great for nibbling while waiting for the rest of the dishes. The takoyaki (octopus balls) were crispy on the outside, soft and savory inside, topped with takoyaki sauce, Japanese mayo, and bonito flakes that danced with the steam. The chicken karaage was juicy, tender, and full of flavor, with a satisfying crunchy coating.
The main highlight was the grilled beef in dashi sauce—tender and perfectly cooked, served in a rich umami broth made with dashi, soy sauce, mirin, and other aromatics. Every bite was deeply savory and comforting.
The entire restaurant had a celebratory mood. Almost every table seemed to have a birthday celebrant, and the staff enthusiastically went around singing lively birthday songs. Special thanks to Aly, who was incredibly friendly, attentive, and went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable despite how busy it was. Service did take a little longer due to the full house, but it was understandable.
We ended the night with a lovely birthday cake, and left with both full bellies and happy hearts. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Japanese flavors, warm hospitality, and a festive dining experience in...
Read moreService ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The service at Hisaya was exceptional! Special thanks to Daisy and Collen, who were attentive and friendly throughout our visit. They ensured we had everything we needed, explained the menu options, and added a personal touch to our dining experience. Kudos to the team for their excellent hospitality!
Ambiance and Cleanliness ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The ambiance at Hisaya is a perfect blend of elegance and comfort, ideal for an authentic Japanese dining experience. The space is well-designed, with a cozy and welcoming vibe. Cleanliness is clearly a priority here; every corner was spotless, from the tables to the restrooms, making the visit all the more enjoyable.
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food at Hisaya is absolutely top-notch! For just AED 149, we enjoyed 3 hours of unlimited Wagyu served in Ishiyaki style or as part of hotpot options like Seiro, Sukiyaki, or Shabu-shabu. The cheese fondue sauce for dipping Wagyu was a game-changer!
The AED 299 Snowcrab & Wagyu unlimited offer (with reservation) was another highlight. The variety in cooking styles—tempura, grilled, and Kani Shabu-shabu—was amazing, and the flavors were incredible. Every dish was satisfying, and the unlimited side dishes were the cherry on top. Grabe, wala akong masabi! Lahat masarap!
Overall: Hisaya Japanese Restaurant is a must-visit for Wagyu and Japanese cuisine lovers. Highly recommended for its excellent service, beautiful ambiance, and...
Read moreWe came to know about this restaurant through FB group and they have a great offer which is 50 % discount from the total bill and also they have another offer which is unlimited chuck roll steak for only 99AED instead of AED 199 and 138 AED with some selected side dishes but keep in mind that only 1 offer at a time. Based on our experience, I can recommend this Japanese restaurant, located at Stella Di Mare Hotel in Dubai Marina. We able the unli steak and it was really great, steak served as rare and you have the option to cook it according to your preference using the cooking stone that comes on the sizzling plate which a good touch and added to your experience. We did order some a la carte menu as well and it was all fantastic taste. I would recommend the blue fin tuna carpaccio, lotus root and their 8 signature roll which I ate by myself only, that's how good it was. I couldn't believe the food I just ate at this restaurant because they were sumptuous. Not to mention, service qas excellent, staff were so friendly and couldn't have done better to be honest to deliver great service. And... A down to earth experience located in Dubai Marina! Magic! Would definitely come again...
