I recently visited Mercan restaurant located near DMCC Metro Station and was impressed with both the Turkish breakfast offerings and the ambiance, which were excellent. The food was truly delightful, and the setting was perfect for a relaxed dining experience. Additionally, the male waiter who attended to us was very professional, attentive, and appeared to genuinely enjoy his role.

However, I would like to share some concerns regarding the service provided by two female waitresses during my visit. When my friends and I requested to have some of the remaining food packed, one of the waitresses displayed a rather unprofessional attitude, making a visible disgusted expression, as if my request was an inconvenience. This kind of response was unexpected, especially in a city like Dubai, where sustainability and minimizing food waste are highly valued. I felt that the interaction was rather unpleasant, considering that the intention was to avoid throwing away perfectly good food.

Furthermore, when my friend asked the other waitress if the rest of the breakfast could be packed, she mentioned that only cheese could be packed, and then walked away with no further explanation or assistance. This lack of willingness to engage with our request and the dismissive attitude was quite disappointing.

While I still enjoyed the overall experience, I do feel that the behavior of the female staff needs to be addressed, as it impacted the overall impression of the restaurant. I would recommend that the team consider additional training for these staff members to ensure that customer interactions are handled professionally and respectfully.

Mercan Restaurant located in Dubai Marina offers Authentic Turkish Cuisines made by their Chef Kemal who has a magic touch to the food he serves to guests. The dine-in area is outside the restaurant fully covered in glass and air conditioned and the interior Ambience is very elegantly decorated. Everything about the restaurant is A class including the Cutlery. The server Orhan makes sure every guest who walks in is well taken care of.

We ordered Lentil Soup to start with which was too good, Hummus, Ezme, Spicy tomato dip with pepper and onion, Mixed Green Salad with Tulum Cheese raisins and cherry tomato. They are very well known and famous for their Kebabs, so ordered Adana Kebab which is a Traditional ground lamb meat kebab with Turkish spices. Chicken Wings which is Grilled with hand made marination.

Overall, this restaurant is indeed serving food which tastes like homemade food. It is like we are having food in Turkey. The Ambience coupled with excellent service and Good tasting food makes it memorable and worth visiting...

Went there for the breakfast menu but it was too late for that (4pm) which is understandable and to compensate our wish the personnel brought us some curtesy of the house as a starter. We ordered the kofte plate with rice and fries and it was tasty and the meat was very soft and not gummy like in other restaurants. On the side we ordered a cheese pide and even that was very good. Despite the place was empty during our stay we enjoyed the calmness and good lounge music they had. Compared to other restaurants the prices are good and the food is authentic Turkish taste!
