We decided to check this restaurant out during our weekend visit to Dubai as I immensely missed the “nusantara” cuisine particularly the Malaysian.
The restaurant is located at the food court of WAFI mall. The mall itself was a little quiet and vacant. However that is not an issue as we do appreciate quietness and we despise crowds.
So we proceeded and ordered Soto ayam, Nasi ayam penyet and cendol. The order took around 20 minutes to be ready, the Soto was warm and hearty, the ayam penyet was tender and the sambals were ok. In terms of flavor, the dishes were an ok fix for a person who really missed the nusantara cuisine. But they could never beat the Nasi ayam penyet and the Soto I had back in malaysia. The cendol was a little strange, but I’m just assuming that that’s how Indonesians like their cendol. It doesn’t have the texture of the Malaysian cendol at all and it was not worth AED 15.

Read moreI have order so many times through careem, more than 10 times. Few days ago I order nasi lemak and ask them to give me extra sambal for me because the tiny portion of sambal is not enough and I got my request nothing to complain that time.
Today I order again nasi lemak and called them to ask adding extra sambal but I only receive tiny portion in a small cup and even get the half portion from the small cup. Call them to tell I haven’t get any extra and she said the kitchen handler forgot to give me!
She said she will rise the complain to manager about this for adding extra to everyone for ordering next time.
THE PRICE IS 30 DIRHAM AND DO YOU GUYS THINK THAT SMALL TINY PORTION OF SAMBAL IS ENOUGH FOR EATING THIS DAMMM NASI LEMAK??!!
Give & ADDS to customer extra next time even without customer asking or request. It’s not fair!
For repeat clients I really not happy what I order this time! Very disappointed how they...

Pro: Accommodating to requests (my friends were fitness trainers and wanted to eat something healthy, with less oil and they obliged and suggested which foods to eat).
Cons: The palabok was salty. The chicken chicharon on top tasted like it was old. My friends didn't like their bbqs, said it was salty too. Order came a bit late. We went to follow up at the counter but no one was there even when we rang the available bell on their...
