Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments Bur Dubai — Hotel in Dubai

Me and my husband have spent over 4 months in this hotel and it’s felt like a family here ,a ||home away from home we would call it . ||I am so happy we chose this hotel .||||The hotel facilities and cleanliness are five star and we absolutely love all the staff here . ||Each and every staff member smiles at all times , no matter what time of the day it is . ||We are always greeted by Griffin at the buffet who is a lovely man.We have enjoyed the Saturday brunches with him , which we highly recommend .The restaurant staff are amazing in every way we have met Ash , Mina Labina Alla and Dipa and Marlene. We can’t forget the best eggs by chef Katikey which are always tasty ! Also a big thanks to the main chef Rajiv who creates the amazing food and snacks in the lounge . ||||Our favorite area is the pool ,gym and sauna area and the guys are outstanding here they include Brighton , Luksahian ,Marvin , Nuwen, Suhen Ahmed and Buddy . They All engage with us and ensure we have a great day whenever they see us at the pool . These guys have amazing hospitality and genuine care for the customers of the hotel community. We have got to know them well and we will miss each and every one of them . We also loved the garden area for shisha and drinks and it was amazing to watch the sports on the big screen , we were looked after by Abikushar, and Solumen . ||During our stay we have traveled a lot with work and when we arrive at the hotel from our work trips away we are always welcomed by Mohammed,(from Nigeria )Nahed (from Egypt) and Jasper (Filipines)and Rahul (Indian ). They always assist myself and husband and anticipate our needs with our suitcases and bags . ||Our apartment has been cleaned very well at all times by the cleaning team .Sampath, ||Mabid , Anthony, Feneh , Aymen Saba and Piyo . We have to thank George the handy man who is fab and helpful . We just want to say Thank you to every staff that embarked on our stay and entire journey.We are so grateful and thankful we chose this hotel apartment for our 4 month stay , we will be back for weekend staycations and many pool days. We stayed at this hotel for a month in Dubai and overall our experience was very very positive.

Breakfast is excellent and the staff is simply amazing! We especially want to mention Syam, Mahmoud, Dexi, Aisha and Inti, who took care of us every day with great kindness. They were always attentive to our needs: they would bring a high chair for the kids and even accommodated special requests, like avocado. I also celebrated my birthday during our stay and they surprised me with a cake and sang Happy Birthday, a gesture I will never forget. The restaurant is spotless and everyone is very friendly.

The hotel has a children’s play area, perfect for escaping Dubai’s heat, and they also offer a daily shuttle bus to Dubai Mall and the beach at different times. This service is super convenient, and if we were ever late to the pick-up point, they would message us to coordinate. You can tell they really care about their guests. The gym was also very spacious and had all the equipment.

The pool is spacious and very enjoyable, although on some very hot days the water felt too warm; perhaps they could consider adding a cooling system.

We stayed in the apartment building next to the main hotel. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable, perfect for a long stay, with a kitchen, refrigerator, microwave and washing machine. They provided drinking water every day and, on several occasions, surprised us with a fruit basket—a detail we truly appreciated.

As an area for improvement, our stay coincided with the building being under renovation. I understand it’s to offer guests a more modern space, which is great, but at times we came across bags of cement or paint, and some elevators would get dirty due to the constant movement of materials. There was also some noise during certain hours at night. We mentioned this to the hotel, and they made us feel truly heard and valued, which is very important.

I’m sure future guests, who will no longer have to deal with renovations, will enjoy the experience even more. For us, we left very happy with the kindness of the staff, the facilities and all the details that made us feel at home.

We arrived at Mövenpick Hotel on October 13th around 7:00 AM after a long overnight journey of 15 hours. Upon arrival, exhausted and expecting to check in, we were informed by the reception staff that our booking had been canceled by the travel agency. We had no prior notice about this cancellation, which made the situation extremely stressful for me, my husband, and our children.

We asked for someone who spoke Arabic to assist us. A Syrian manager came and spoke Arabic, but unfortunately, he could not help us and kept telling us to contact the travel agency. We called the agency multiple times from Dubai to Germany, each call costing €29. My husband even tried calling from the hotel and The hotel staff asked my husband to pay for the calls made from the hotel phone to Germany, , but we ended up waiting 8 hours without any resolution from either the travel agency or the hotel.

Eventually, we were forced to book a room at our own expense (€400 deposit) before being allowed to stay, as the hotel would not provide a room without payment. Later, the travel agency explained that they had tried to book the same hotel, but it was fully booked due to an exhibition in Dubai, which is why they arranged an alternative hotel.

On a positive note, we would like to sincerely thank Rahul from the reception team. He was extremely helpful, allowing us to extend our check-out time from 12:00 to 15:00 and promptly updating it in the system. Unfortunately, the Syrian manager, Mr. Marwan, did not provide the same level of assistance. Rahul’s professionalism and kindness saved us from being stranded, especially with our young children Overall, this experience was very disappointing. Due to the lack of communication, poor handling of the situation, and the stress caused to our family, we do not plan to return to this hotel.
