I visited Maison Revka Dubai with 7 friends for a birthday celebration on 1st August 2025, including guests from abroad. The ambience and decor are stunning — perfect for photos — but the service was hands-down the worst I've experienced in Dubai.
We booked under the name "Hajer" and paid a hefty advance payment to secure the table. When booking, we were explicitly told by their team that this amount was refundable upon arrival. However, when it came time to settle the bill, we were informed (only then) that the payment was actually non-refundable and would simply be offset against the bill. This is completely misleading and feels like a bait-and-switch.
From the moment we sat down, our waiter’s attitude was condescending and unprofessional. He repeatedly questioned whether we had ordered “enough” food, making us feel cheap and unwelcome — a completely unnecessary and insulting interaction.
When we tried to use the “prepaid” amount after being told it was non-refundable, the waiter suggested we “just order more food” despite the fact that we were already full, and then later informed us that they don’t offer takeaway, despite having suggested it as a solution. The manager’s response was simply “It is what it is”, offering no genuine resolution.
The food, drinks, and desserts themselves were good — but service is just as important as taste, and in this case, the service ruined the entire experience. We left feeling frustrated, unwelcome, and out of pocket.
If you value professional service, transparency, and respect for customers — this is not the place.
There isn’t much that can be done now — I’m not expecting them to make it right, because at the end of the day, the money stays in their pockets. My only hope is that whoever reads this review before visiting will be on guard for the same kind of nasty, dismissive behaviour we...
Read moreWe came to celebrate a birthday and while the food and ambience were nice, the entire evening was ruined by one incident. A drunken man started yelling and screaming at us in the middle of the restaurant. We were just a group of four young women with our mother, taking pictures of the birthday cake, when he suddenly went crazy shouting at us. He kept throwing words and insults our way, making the whole place stare at us — it was humiliating, scary, and completely inappropriate.
What made it worse is that the management did not take proper action. The man was not asked to leave, and instead, we were told not to take pictures of the cake. How does that make sense? What kind of “fine dining” restaurant allows a drunk man to harass women and continue sitting there? This is unacceptable and shows a serious lack of respect for guests’ safety and comfort.
When our dessert finally arrived after a 40-minute wait, I asked if anything would be done to make up for the ruined evening (such as removing the dessert from the bill). The waiter dismissed it by saying “he was just yelling..."
A manager’s job is to protect the dining experience, not allow it to be destroyed. This should have been handled firmly by removing the disruptive guest immediately. Sadly, this failure in management ruined the night...
Read moreHonestly, I was a bit unsure at first after seeing some not-so-great reviews on Tripadvisor, but the Google reviews gave me hope – and I’m so glad we went with our gut because Maison Revka was fabulous!
We arrived early (which I’d recommend) since pool single beds are on a first come, first served basis, and I personally love the first row. The setting is stunning – very elegant and stylish, perfect for a chilled but classy day out.
We ordered from the pool menu, which is much more extensive than most places. There’s a great mix of cold dishes, sushi, nigiri, sashimi, hot mains, and desserts. We went for the fruit platter, prawn tempura, and the burger with fries, plus a bunch of mocktails and drinks – total came to 1,209.10 AED for two, which felt reasonable for the experience.
Service was lovely – super friendly and attentive. It did get a bit hectic after noon so a couple of things were forgotten, but they were sorted quickly with no fuss.
One thing I was hesitant about was the location in the Marina, rather than on a beach like other clubs – but honestly, once we got there, it didn’t even cross my mind again. The vibe is sophisticated yet lively, exactly what we were after.
If you’re thinking about it – just go. It really exceeded expectations and made for a...
