THE WORST EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD IN DUBAI.
First of all, you’d immediately feel unwelcomed and disrespected by the “security” on the door. My friends and I are in late 20s and we do look our age. They were not nice to our female friends either. They somehow managed to screw up our reservation and they didn’t put us in the wanted area. We’ve ordered food and played games. The food quality is much below average (don’t go there to dine in) and the prices are way higher than similar places. Value for money on your food is almost ZERO. The retro games section is nice but very very expensive. We paid over 500 dirhams on a few games in less than 30 minutes. Some machines deducted the money but didn’t start the game. The staff were super arrogant, irrationally angry at us and refused even to listen about the corrupt machines. I’d rather go to other places, play the same games, pay the same money but at least don’t get humiliated. Anyway, we left our drinks on the side table next to a game and some random people didn’t pay attention to them and drinks got all spilled all over the floor. We called the waiters and they managed to clean it. I went to talk to them for compensation drinks because we were playing games and it wasn’t our fault that their side tables ain’t sturdy enough to handle a light shake. They staff said we can’t do anything we ain’t authorized to take a decision and we’ll call the supervisor for you. After a long wait, the “supervisor” eventually showed up and I wish she hadn’t showed up. We genuinely weren’t upset as much until she started talking. After smiling at her face and calmly explaining what happened, she was screaming loudly, being unnecessarily rude and accusing us of lying to her. Eventually she wanted us to point on the people who unintentionally spilled our drinks to charge them money. I told her, “excuse me, lower your voice and go check your CCTV before accusing your first time customers with such a thing, you know what we don’t want your compensation drinks” and she left. Overall, rude staff, expensive standard food, expensive corrupt retro games designed to rip you off and most importantly you literally feel disgusted in the place as they have no clue about something called COVID-19 or social distancing. Literally nobody was wearing a mask and customers wandering around like corona doesn’t exist. Horrible experience...
Read moreI recently visited Brass Monkey at Bluewaters, and it was a truly enjoyable experience from start to finish. The ambiance of the place is fantastic—modern, vibrant, and perfectly suited for a relaxed meal or a night out with friends. The decor is stylish with a chic industrial vibe that adds a unique touch to the dining experience.
The menu offers a diverse selection of dishes, ranging from gourmet burgers to creative small plates. I started with their truffle fries, which were a delightful mix of crispy and flavorful. For the main course, I tried the signature Brass Monkey burger, and it did not disappoint. The patty was juicy and cooked to perfection, and the toppings were fresh and delicious. The variety of options, including vegetarian and gluten-free choices, means there's something for everyone.
The drinks menu is also impressive. The cocktails are well-crafted, with a good balance of flavors. I tried their signature Brass Monkey cocktail, and it was a refreshing and innovative blend that complemented the meal perfectly.
What truly stood out was the service. The staff were attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. The overall service contributed greatly to the positive experience.
The location at Bluewaters is also a big plus—it's easily accessible and offers beautiful views. Whether you’re there for a casual lunch, a dinner with friends, or a special occasion, Brass Monkey provides a fantastic setting with great food and drinks.
In summary, Brass Monkey at Bluewaters offers a top-notch dining experience with its excellent food, creative cocktails, stylish ambiance, and attentive service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal in a vibrant setting. I’ll definitely...

Our HR team planned a much-needed team outing at Brass Monkey last Friday, and the buzz around it had already set high expectations. A lot of folks had hyped up the vibe and crowd—and they weren’t wrong!
What We Loved: The energy was amazing! From the arcade games and bowling lanes to the pool tables and music, everything was geared for a good time. The place was packed (weekend scene!), but the staff still managed to stay on top of things—super friendly and quick. Cleanliness? Spotless. Full marks there.
Bowling and pool were major highlights—turns out our GM is a pool shark! And while we were all hilariously bad at bowling, it made for some solid laughs (pro tip: trim your nails beforehand). Drinks were a win—especially the spicy margarita. Loco Poco was fun too, though maybe a little too much ice for my taste.
Where It Fell Short: The food was average. Not terrible, just... meh. Veg options were limited and didn’t really stand out. We tried the nachos, cheese balls, and veg pizza—none of them were bad, just nothing worth raving about. Also, it’s not exactly budget-friendly, so it’s great if the company’s covering the tab. One more thing: the music was loud. Good for dancing, not ideal if you're trying to actually talk to your team.
Final Take: Brass Monkey nails it when it comes to vibe, fun activities, and drinks. If you're after an energetic night out, it’s definitely worth checking out. Just don’t count on deep convos or great vegetarian food. We all had a blast, and I’d go back—for the games and energy, not the menu.
⭐ 3.5/5 – Fun place, just eat before you go!
