Masala Biryani Restaurant JVC — Restaurant in Dubai

Not bad, Not great. Somewhere in between. Overall 6/10

Due to a lack of options in the JVC vicinity, its a decent place to order pakistani food. But certainly not exciting or too memorable. We ordered the most staff recommended items from the menu.

Chicken Masala Biryani: 6/10 For a restaurant named "Masala Biryani" the biryanis are seriously lacking in masala. Mostly fragrant, orange colored rice. Not too oily. Passable.

Mutton Masala Biryani: 6/10 Again, bland and lacking Masala. Mutton quality and freshness was good. Quantity good. Decent overall

Chicken Karahi 4/10 Sweeter and tangier than a karahi should be. Certainly not the classic pakistani recipe. More like an indian butter-chicken. A deep layer of oil on top , totally unnecessary and not healthy to consume. Had to tilt and drain excess oil

Mutton Seekh kebab 7/10 Taste great. But quantity was small and not as advertised. 4 small skewers were served instead of the 6 long ones shown in the menu

Chicken Bihari boti: 4/10 Taste was decent but not tender like bihari should be. Tough squares of white breast meat. Flavor was ok. Nothing to get too excited about

Tandoori Naan 9/10 The tandoor breads ended up being the best thing on our order. Properly crispy and not at all chewy. Baked...

Came across this restaurant and found the menu interesting and decided to order a dish from them via their whatsapp no as I live just around the corner.

An hour later, and still no sign of my food. So decided to msg and check on the status of my order but I received no response.

Since it was close to midnight by the time I didn’t get a response, I decided to call them.

After keeping me on hold, the staff who picked up the phone told me that the order wasn’t punched and asked me if I’d like to have another dish sent across to me which would take about another 20 mins.

1.5 hours waiting for my food on an empty stomach. I didn’t want to wait any more so told them to let it be.

In today’s time and age of seamless service and delivery, it’s kind of pathetic that they would treat a first time customer this way.

Service back in the days used to be better. Guess I’m going to have to find some other alternate restaurant and will be avoiding ordering from them.

Be better team and not keep another person...

Absolutely ridiculous. We were the only table when we reached and ordered. Waited for more than 40 minutes, the people around who came later all got their food, but not us!

I was waiting at the cashier wanting to ask them to cancel everything. Then a lady came, serving chicken briyani and told there is no mutton (for mutton briyani). If there is no mutton why didnt u say it when we ordered????

Time waster! The cook (maybe the owner) then came and said there is mutton! I am not interested in all the confusions and chose to leave after paying what was served (juice, salad, chicken briyani taken away).

I told them i'd write a bad review and the boss chased us trying to give us 2 ice cream. Sorry too late. We already wasted 50 mins at your place and no more.

So lousy....
