I am utterly shocked and disappointed by my recent experience at Mcgettigans JLT in Dubai—a city known globally for its impeccable service and hospitality. What I encountered here was the complete opposite of what Dubai stands for, and it’s hard to believe such substandard service could exist in a place that prides itself on setting the bar for excellence.

From the moment I arrived, the staff's attitude was indifferent at best, and downright rude at worst. Requests for basic services were either ignored or brushed off with an air of apathy. It felt as though the staff couldn't be bothered to do their jobs, much less provide the exceptional service that is supposed to be a hallmark of Dubai. I’ve been in far less prestigious places with far superior service, so experiencing this in Dubai was nothing short of shocking.

The worst part, however, was the unruly behaviour of other guests, who were allowed to act completely out of control, creating a chaotic and uncomfortable environment. It was incredibly noisy and disruptive, and the staff did absolutely nothing to manage the situation. Instead, they seemed content to let the disorder continue, leaving the rest of us to endure the mess. It was appalling.

I never expected to encounter such neglect, disorganization, and outright lack of care in Dubai of all places. This was by far the most disappointing experience I’ve had in a city that is supposed to offer world-class service. If McGettigan's doesn’t address these glaring issues, I would strongly advise others to avoid this place at all costs. I had the worst evening ever yesterday. Went to Mcgetticans JLT for a Friday night out with my friend. Arriving at the venue,the two security at the door refused to let us in. The reason being

A. We have to be regular-since they don't recognise our faces ,we are not regular.How can someone claim that they recognise everyone who goes in such a busy establishment? Obviously you can't memorise all faces!

B.They have the right to stop anyone they want from getting in regardless. "We have the power to stop you from going in it doesn't matter the circumstances.

C. We need to be a man and a woman (couple) ,if not there's no way they will let us in.

They were very rude to us and treated us like scum. While we were there trying to reason with them to understand why they won't let us in,other individual people were being allowed in without a question. ( They were not couples) After they actually asked us to go next door as they don't have any intention of letting us in. We tried to ask for the manager but they refused to call for anyone in charge to clarify the issue.

I believe everyone has a right to have an issue to be escalated to the person in charge but they totally refused to call the manager for us!

What we are wandering is,this is not the first time we have been here and had the best time,how has it come to this???

All the non black people were being allowed to go in without any questioning or being stopped. Is this racial profiling and discrimination or is it just the arrogance of the security?
