I recently celebrated my birthday at Vietnamese Foodies JLT, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home. The restaurant's charming decor and cozy ambiance set the perfect tone for a memorable evening.
The highlight of our visit was, without a doubt, the delectable Vietnamese cuisine. Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic flavors and expertly prepared. The menu offered a wide range of options, and we were impressed by the variety of choices available. From the classic pho and spring rolls to the mouthwatering banh mi and vibrant rice dishes, each plate was a true masterpiece.
What truly made the evening special was the restaurant's thoughtful surprise for my birthday. As we finished our meal, the staff brought out a beautifully decorated birthday cake accompanied by a heartfelt rendition of the birthday song. It was an unexpected gesture that left me feeling incredibly touched and appreciated. The cake itself was absolutely divine đđđ
The service throughout the evening was impeccable. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They provided excellent recommendations and made sure that every aspect of our dining experience was taken care of. It was evident that the team at Vietnamese Foodies truly values their customers and goes above and beyond to ensure their satisfaction.
In addition to the fantastic food and service, the restaurant's location in JLT is convenient and easily accessible. The dining area is spacious and well-designed, creating a comfortable and inviting space for guests to enjoy their meals.
All in all, our birthday celebration at Vietnamese Foodies exceeded our expectations in every way. The delicious food, the surprise birthday cake, and the attentive service combined to create an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a taste of authentic Vietnamese cuisine in a welcoming and enjoyable setting. Whether it's a special occasion or simply a casual meal, Vietnamese Foodies is sure to impress. We can't wait to return and explore more of their tantalizing...
Read moreSo I heard from the Vietnamese friend that this is the go to place for casual Vietnamese food in Dubai, owned by a Vietnamese chef and instructor. Obviously I had high expectations that werenât met. But if you decide to go, hereâs a few things that Iâd recommend that you know... if youâre looking for ambiance or exceptional service, you wonât find it here. If youâre going for pho, a very popular Vietnamese soup, make sure you tell the waiter/chef to boil your noodles el dante as my noodles were very over boiled, soggy, and not enjoyable. The temperature of the broth was not hot at all however, the flavor was good enough. The vegetable spring rolls were very small, not crispy, and not stuffed with vegetables, in fact quite empty compared to the typical spring rolls of many restaurants Iâve been to in Dubai; I wouldnât order it again. The shrimp summer rolls were stuffed well, presentable and tasted ok, however, I could hardly find the shrimp anywhere and the rice paper it was wrapped in was a bit too thick and mildly tough to bite into, not the delicate rice wrapping Iâm used to. Duck sausage was very small, but it tasted like a normal kebab, not âduckyâ at all. I enjoyed the tofu eggplant dish. The sauce for the shrimp with vegetables in the clay pot was a bland but it was cooked right and the quality was good. The chicken curry was good too. The lychee soda was refreshing as was the cold, strong...
Read moreThis is the first time I have ever reviewed a restaurant. This was so bad it needs a warning sign. I found out this place opened in downtown and was so excited! Having been to Vietnam so many times and enjoying the wonderful food and flavours I was looking forward to this.
The service was ok, not bad and not good but acceptable. The restaurant is well presented and to a good standard.
We arrived around 7:30pm and it was close to being empty. We were asked do we have a reservation. Trying not to burst out laughing I replied âI didnât realise it was that busy, lucky for us there are tablesâ looking around at a near empty restaurant. The food was well presented but lacks flavour, lacks taste. The drinks were just as tasteless. I should have ordered a Coca Cola or something at least thereâs taste! We ordered some starters which were ok but exceptionally small. Vietnamese food isnât expensive and usually decent in quantitĂŠs. This was like finger food. We ordered the pho, never have I tasted a bland, tasteless pho in my life. As someone mentioned in comments section before; if you buy the prepacked dried instant pho it would taste better than this. Anyone who can state how nice this is doesnât know what real Vietnamese food taste like. I wouldnât come back thatâs for sure. Itâs lucky there isnât any real competition or this place would be shutting...
