Gather 'round, my hungry hordes, because I've got a tale to tell from the gloriously gluttonous streets of Business Bay. I found myself, at a glorious spot called Naughty Pizza. Now, the name itself sets a certain expectation, doesn't it? Visions of rebellious toppings and doughy misdemeanours. But what I discovered was far less about being truly "naughty" and far more about being wonderfully, sincerely, and utterly delicious. This isn't some fleeting fling with fast food; this is a proper, sit-down, get-your-hands-dirty love affair with pizza, the kind that transports you straight to a bustling Neapolitan piazza, minus the airfare and the questionable moped skills.
The supporting acts! We kicked things off with perfectly crisp Truffle Arancini and a Burrata Pugliese so fresh it practically mooed. The Gnocchi Sorrentina had a delightful sauce, though I confess I'm a slightly more al dente kind of guy.
Enough preamble, you're here for the pizza, aren't you? And rightly so. It arrives, a beautiful, blistered disc of pure promise from an imported, hand-built brick oven, courtesy of Esposito Forni. The dough, crafted from the finest Molini Pizzuti flour and topped with San Marzano tomatoes that practically sing of Mount Vesuvius, is exactly what you dream of: soft, yielding, with those glorious, puffy, slightly charred edges. It's the kind of base that makes you question every other pizza you've ever eaten.
I started off with the slightly sceptically named Carbopizza. Oh, sweet mercy. Carbonara on a pizza. It sounds wrong, like wearing socks with sandals, but it is so, so right. It’s my new go-to, a stroke of pure, unadulterated genius. We also delved into a surprising Parmigiana with a fantastic aubergine cream base, and a Naughty Special pizza with a crispy Pala style dough and slow-cooked beef – genuinely excellent, though I'd be tempted to try those toppings on their classic base next time (for scientific research, of course). The Naughty Pizza with fresh chilli and threads had a rather spirited conversation with my taste buds – a bit lively for my personal preference, though I suspect it's exactly the kind of fiery kiss that would make devoted spice disciples sing.
And the desserts? The Tiramisu was spot on, hitting that perfect coffee-bitter note, while the Cannoli Siciliani, with its citrus ricotta and cascade of pistachios, was a grand finale worth the wait. Washed down with a bracing Chinotto, it was an Italian feast that had me plotting my return before I left the restaurant.
Bart, Mr. Oven himself, is a force of nature – passionate, present, and clearly dedicated to his craft. This isn't just a restaurant; it's a testament to quality and hustle, a little corner of Naples thriving in the heart of Dubai. Seriously, make the trip. You won't regret it. I...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Naughty Pizza Dubai with a group of friends, and it was an evening filled with culinary delight and warm hospitality. We indulged in two pizzas, namely the Ramadan Special Pizza and the Carbopizza, along with the exquisite Gold Liwa Salad.
First and foremost, the food was exceptional. Each bite was bursting with authentic Italian flavors, and we couldn’t find a single flaw to mention. The Ramadan Special Pizza was a standout, showcasing unique ingredients that truly captured the essence of the season. The Gold Liwa Salad provided a refreshing balance to the hearty pizzas, and it was evident that quality ingredients were used in every dish.
The staff at Naughty Pizza Dubai deserve special commendation. From the moment we placed our order, we were met with genuine friendliness and professionalism. Our server engaged us in a pleasant conversation, adding a personal touch to our dining experience. We were welcomed with olives on our table, a small gesture that reflected the restaurant’s attention to detail and guest satisfaction.
Although we chose to dine outdoors, it’s worth noting that indoor seating options are available as well, catering to different preferences. What truly impressed us was the visit from a restaurant supervisor during our meal. Their inquiry about our satisfaction with the food and service demonstrated a commitment to excellence and customer feedback.
If I were to mention a minor critique, it would be regarding the smoke show with the pizza. While it was advertised, the effect was not as pronounced as expected. However, this was a negligible aspect compared to the overall outstanding experience.
In conclusion, Naughty Pizza Dubai exceeded our expectations and delivered an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend trying their pizzas and exploring their menu for a taste of authentic Italian cuisine served with a touch of hospitality that...
Read moreWe visited this place having heard great things about the pizza. I ordered the Cucozza and I hadn’t appreciated the gorgonzola was blue cheese. Unfortunately the pizza really strong and overpowering so I fed that back and informed them I unfortunately couldn’t eat the pizza. After some conversation the waiter first said would need to still charge for it. Then he bought the head chef out who just kept talking about the type of cheese it was and justifying the pizza. There was no listening taking place, no understanding of the fact that I had only said I didn’t like it because it was overpowering for me and therefore couldn’t eat it. He went on to say he could change it for something else but still had to charge for the pizza and they always have customers coming in. His failure to just listen was what really annoyed me. I found the customer service poor in that regard - particularly given this is Dubai and everywhere else I have eaten or dined, restaurants and staff they go out of their way to please the customer.
I did get annoyed at the head chef and said I would review this. My daughter then heard him mutter ‘whatever’ under his breath. If you want repeat customers, treat them with respect.
The only reason I have given this place 3* and not 1* is because of the other staff at the restaurant and the supervisor who then apologised and wanted to make things right. The waiters and staff were brilliant. The head chef really needs to learn what customer service means in dubai and I would urge management that he learns this from the waiters and staff on the restaurant floor...
