A friend's birthday night ruined by callous behaviour from bitter, power-hungry and insolent security! I've never left a bad review before but after this night out, it's well-deserved. Unfortunately, a 1-star rating is the minimum.
Last night my friends and I (3 girls, 4 guys) had the miserable experience of terrible service at LSB Business Bay. We had been inside for all of maybe 10 minutes (or 2 songs by the live band) before a security guard came up to our group specifically to escort us out. When asked why, they weren't sure which story to go with: they said simultaneously that we were both "too drunk" and "had not bought enough drinks" -- both untrue as we had JUST entered, and a few of us were still in line waiting to buy our drinks. Rude, harsh, and all-around abrasive disrespect from the staff then followed. Breaking news: common courtesy is dead!
It seems that dancing along with the music, being in our early 20s and having fun are somehow all against LSB Business Bay's policy. Or perhaps they should put a sign up saying they serve whites only, as they seem to carefully handpick the crowd that gets the boot. The pathetic behaviour of the security throughout, that can only be described as taunting and power tripping, paired with the unhelpful manager (telling us to hurry up, finish our drinks and leave - wonderful) are enough reasons to never return here again.
LSB, after seeing the other low-rated reviews of this place, it's clear that this completely uncalled-for behaviour by your staff has and will go on to taint your reputation. If it continues this way, your venue will either end up empty or full of dull and lifeless sloths, as this is the crowd you favour and to whom you offer your services. (although I suppose you would be indifferent to this as long as the money still comes in..). Honestly, it's a sad sight to see and it's completely the fault of the repugnant security and management. A swift change of attitude and...

We used to love coming to Lock, Stock & Barrel at Business Bay, but after todayâs experience, weâre seriously reconsidering ever coming back. What should have been an enjoyable evening was completely ruined by shockingly unprofessional behavior from the staff, particularly Andrea (if thatâs even her real name) and a Filipina waitress whose attitude was outright disrespectful and discourteous.
As soon as we arrived, the Filipina waitress (whose name I didnât catch) was dismissive and rude, treating us like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. Her attitude made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable from the start. We had just arrived, enjoying the music, and hadnât even decided what to order yet when she started giving us bad looks and spoke to her supervisor, Andrea.
Andrea then approached our table and rudely asked if we had placed an order. When we explained that we were still deciding, she abruptly told us they needed the table in a rude way and that we had to leave if we werenât ordering immediately. This was completely uncalled forâcouldnât she understand that we had just arrived and were taking a moment to settle in after coming from another party?
Hospitality should be the cornerstone of any bar, and sadly, Lock, Stock & Barrel Business Bay fails miserably in this regard. With so many great places in Dubai offering excellent service, Iâd strongly advise against wasting your time or money here.
The hospitality was uncalled for. Though there was no crowd we were asked to leave the table and before we even had a chance to leave the table a person came up and put a reserved tab on the table and got judgmental looks for absolutely no reason. 2 staff member were also looking at us and talking about us in a very disrespectful manner which was uncalled for.

Read moreIâm writing to share a disappointing experience I had on the night of June 7 at LSB in Business Bay. My friends and I arrived around 11:00 PM and were greeted by the valet. He asked if we were heading to LSB, and upon confirming, he directed us to the entrance. Since it was my first time visiting, I asked him whether a reservation was required. He assured me it was not.
However, upon reaching the entrance of LSB, I approached a Filipina staff member and requested a table for three. She informed me that a reservation was required. I asked her again for clarificationâwhether we could not enter without a reservationâand she confirmed that we could not.
With no other option, we turned around to wait for the lift. As it opened, I saw someone I knew and briefly spoke with him, explaining that we were leaving because we didnât have a reservation. To my surprise, he said a reservation wasnât required. He then approached a male staff member at the door to inquire why we werenât allowed in. The staff responded that I had caused a problem there previously.
I was shocked by this accusation, as this was my very first time visiting LSB. I returned to the Filipina staff and asked how I could have caused an issue in the past if I had never been there before. Her response was: âI already told you earlier that youâre not allowed to enter, then you talked to that guy?â (referring to the person I saw in the lift, whom Iâve known for over six years). I told her that I spoke to him simply because I knew him.
At that point, I felt deeply insulted and chose to leave. I couldnât help but question whether we were judged by our appearance, perceived as unable to afford entry, or if it was a matter of discrimination. For context, I am also Filipina, and it was particularly disheartening to be treated this way by a fellow Filipina...
