Shake Shack — Restaurant in Dubai

I am writing to formally report a serious incident of food poisoning that occurred after dining at Shake Shack, Mercato Mall branch, on the evening of July 7th, 2025. My husband and I had dinner at Shake Shack around 11:00 PM. The food served was of extremely poor quality, and we were unable to finish our meals due to the unpleasant taste and overall condition of the food. Additionally, the service we received was also very disappointing. A few hours after the meal, both my husband and I began experiencing severe symptoms of food poisoning, including vomiting and diarrhea. I am currently pregnant, and the situation became particularly alarming given my condition. As the symptoms worsened, we sought medical attention and were admitted to Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai. The attending doctors confirmed that our symptoms were consistent with food poisoning caused by the meal we consumed the night before at Shake Shack. This incident has caused significant distress and posed a serious health risk, especially considering my pregnancy. We urge the concerned authorities to investigate this matter immediately to ensure proper hygiene and safety standards are being upheld, and to prevent similar incidents from happening to others.

So, today on 29 April around 3.13 pm, me and my friend came from district 1 to have shake shack from Mercato Mall. My friend ordered Non vegetarian beef burger and i order a Vegetarian shroom burger. The entire restaurant is empty and servers are sitting empty, so i think nothing can go wrong here and all the guys were Philippines people so i assume here that no one is fasting. At the delivery, i was handed over vegetarian burger and my friend, his non vegetarian burger. When we went to eat that burger, i was handed over a non vegetarian beef burger, which i started eating. Me being a hindu, vegetarian, worship cow. I do understand that it was super messed mistake on part of the service guy. He apologized, understood. The lady owner was sitting right there and listening to the whole conversation and not doing or saying anything. No apologies from her at all and instead she came and says, WHAT DO U WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT with an attitude as if no mistake has happened

Shack shake of Mercato mall was very disappointing. The beef burger was having a heavy beef smell by being dry and served cold. The whole burger was tasteless and not juicy at all, they ruined our evening meal by the cold tasteless food served to us. The fries was strictly average, but the cheese was stodgy and not good. Good packaging for takeaway, however we paid high amount and we did not get a good food. Their service should be improved as the staff are rude and keep shouting while ordering and keep looking customers in a bad way, really unpleasant experience i had encountered. No enough lights in the place as it was so dim and many of the seating places were closed so thats why i decided to takeaway the food. Not visiting this branch again, as I had an awful experience from the food...
