We booked three nights at Mandarin Oriental Dubai nearly a month in advance to celebrate our one-year anniversary. When booking, I noticed the room had single beds, so I immediately called the hotel and requested a king or queen bed. I was assured by both reception and room services that this would be taken care of upon arrival. At check-in, the lady at the front desk acknowledged the request but said she needed to double-check. Turns out, nothing had been done. We had to wait in the room while the housekeeping staff rearranged the beds — it took around 20–25 minutes. After traveling and being tired, this was the last thing we needed. I also asked if we could get a late check-out as a small gesture for the inconvenience, and she agreed to 2 PM. Then she tried to upsell us on a “nicer room with a better view” for an additional charge — which felt a bit inappropriate. We declined, and the room we got had a terrible view with no privacy whatsoever (photo attached). To top it off: • There was no anniversary gesture in the room — no cake, card, or even a note — despite booking this stay a month ahead and clearly noting it was a special occasion. • I later called reception to ask for something (then changed my mind), and the person asked, “Is there anything else I can do for you?” I said, “Honestly, I’m shocked you guys didn’t prepare anything for our anniversary.” He said he’d check. When we returned to the room, there was a plate of fruit and some balloons — clearly done last minute only because I pointed it out. • The shampoo bottle in the room was empty. We had to request another one. • On the last day, I got a call asking whether I was checking out or wanted to extend. I said we had a 2 PM late checkout confirmed at check-in, and the staff member replied that it wasn’t noted and they had other guests coming. This kind of miscommunication really summed up the whole stay. All in all, this was far from the luxury experience we expected. Poor coordination, lack of attention to detail, and zero proactive service made our anniversary stay feel disappointing and unmemorable. We won’t be coming back.

We had the most wonderful stay at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira in Dubai, made even more memorable thanks to the reservation manager, Umut. When our flights to Dubai were unexpectedly cancelled, he was extremely accommodating and more than willing to rebook us for a later date while honouring the same rates. His support set the tone for an incredible experience from the very beginning. The property itself is stunning, especially the elegant lobby and the beautiful outdoor area that leads directly to the beach. The view of both the Burj Khalifa and the Arabian Sea is truly special and makes the setting unforgettable. The breakfast deserves a special mention as it is the best we have had anywhere in the UAE, even compared to our stay at their sister property, the Mandarin Oriental Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. The variety and quality are outstanding and set the day off perfectly. The customer service throughout the hotel is exceptional as well, with every team member greeting us warmly upon both arrival and departure, which made us feel genuinely valued. The location is also a huge advantage. It takes only five minutes to get to downtown Dubai including the Dubai Mall, and the nearby Al Wasl area is filled with excellent restaurants, making it very convenient for exploring the city. If there is one area that could be improved, it would be the afternoon tea and desserts. While the desserts were beautifully presented, the flavours were underwhelming and felt repetitive. The tea selection was very limited and not displayed in a way that allowed for an enjoyable choice. Unfortunately, the service during afternoon tea did not meet the otherwise excellent standard of the hotel, as we found ourselves having to try several times to get the staff’s attention. Enhancing both the variety and quality of the tea service, along with more attentive service, would make this offering much more in line with the rest of the property. Overall, our stay was perfect in every way. We highly recommend the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira for anyone visiting Dubai and hope to return again in the near future.

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai – A Masterclass in Luxury and Hospitality Dubai is known for its world-class hotels, but the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai sets a new benchmark in luxury, service, and overall guest experience. Having stayed in multiple exceptional hotels during our trip, I can confidently say that this property is on another level. From arrival to departure, every detail was meticulously handled, ensuring an unforgettable stay.

Arrival & First Impressions The moment we arrived at the hotel, we knew we were in for something special. The arrival experience was flawless—a team of well-dressed doormen greeted us with precision and warmth, handling our luggage and escorting us inside with an air of effortless hospitality. A guest relations officer with an iPad knew exactly who we were without even asking for our names, a remarkable touch that speaks volumes about the hotel's attention to detail.

Check-in was seamless, and the staff made sure we were comfortable, offering iced tea while we completed the formalities. A special mention to the Guest Relations Manager, Loretta, whose kindness and attentiveness made a lasting impression on us. She went out of her way to ensure our stay was memorable, and we cannot thank her enough.

Rooms – Absolute Perfection We stayed in Rooms 352 and 307, and they were absolutely stunning. The Deluxe Sea View Room offered breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf, paired with sophisticated, modern interiors. Every element of the room was curated for comfort and convenience, from the plush bedding to the state-of-the-art technology.

A standout feature was the WhatsApp concierge service, making it incredibly easy to request anything we needed without even making a phone call—something all luxury hotels should implement.

Breakfast – A Culinary Delight One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the breakfast selection. The variety and quality of the food were outstanding, catering to every taste and preference. Freshly baked pastries, an extensive fruit selection, a live egg station, and international delights made every morning a feast. The service at breakfast was impeccable, with staff anticipating our needs before we even had to ask.

Fitness & Wellness – Unmatched Facilities The gym at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira is one of the best hotel gyms we've ever experienced. It features:

Top-of-the-line equipment, all modern and well-maintained. Ice bath & free movement room—perfect for recovery and flexibility. Boxing and stretching classes, catering to both beginners and experienced fitness enthusiasts. The spa is equally impressive, offering a range of well-designed treatments and facilities that truly elevate relaxation to another level.

Service – A Class Apart What truly sets this hotel apart is the service. The reception team was one of the kindest and most helpful we’ve encountered in years. The staff remained calm, composed, and genuinely invested in guest satisfaction. Every interaction was warm and welcoming, making us feel valued and cared for.

Final Thoughts – A New Favorite Our stay at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai, was impeccable. The attention to detail, the luxurious accommodations, the world-class dining, and the unparalleled hospitality have turned us into loyal fans of the Mandarin Oriental brand.

We had the great pleasure of spending a full week at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah in Dubai, and I can say without hesitation: it was one of the most memorable, relaxing and refined hotel experiences we’ve ever had.

From the moment we arrived, everything was nothing short of perfect: the architecture, the interior design, the lush pool area, the immaculate cleanliness, the incredible food, the warm weather, and most of all: the impeccable service.

There’s a distinct feeling that sets this place apart from other five-star hotels, a kind of calm elegance, combined with genuine hospitality and an atmosphere that makes you immediately feel at ease. It’s the kind of place that allows you to disconnect, breathe, and fully arrive in the moment. We left recharged, deeply relaxed and already looking forward to our return.

However, there is one person who deserves a very special mention and honestly, an exorbitant amount of thanks and recognition: Khalid Bazoui, who took care of us during our stay in the Club Lounge.

Khalid was not just doing a good job. He made our stay exceptional. Through genuine warmth, proactive service, deep professionalism and that rare blend of personal charm and attention to detail, he completely elevated our perception of the entire brand. Every interaction was filled with kindness, care, humour, and thoughtful touches that made us feel not just like guests, but like truly valued individuals.

Thanks to Khalid, all of our existing positive associations with Mandarin Oriental were reinforced and multiplied. We will now always think of this hotel and the Lounge in particular with a smile on our faces and a sense of joy in our hearts.

And let us be clear: we have stayed in many of the finest hotels around the world including multiple Mandarin Oriental properties in places like New York, Bangkok, Dubai and others, as well as top-tier luxury hotel brands across the globe. But we have never experienced a level of dedication, sincerity and passion like we saw in Khalid.

It was unlike anything we’ve seen, not just excellent service, but something deeper: a rare combination of heart, character and excellence that leaves a lasting impression.

What makes Khalid so outstanding is not only technical excellence, but also this rare human quality: a genuine passion for hospitality, a heartfelt attitude, and an innate talent for making others feel seen and cared for. It’s that kind of A++++ team member that every world-class hotel dreams of having and we sincerely hope that Mandarin Oriental recognizes the incredible value that Khalid brings to their guest experience.

To be very clear: Khalid Bazoui will remain one of the top hospitality professionals we’ve ever encountered anywhere in the world. We wish every hotel team had this level of dedication and emotional intelligence.

My journey at MODUB this time has started with Can in Reservations. He showed empathy, supported my enquiries and provided a full pack of all the possible and impossible! I was amazed at his sufficient help and understanding - thank you Can! From check in I will note that Victoria,Asst GRM, was so cute and gave me the detailed guidance, most importantly on GXP app experience, such an educated and well informed colleague, bravo MO to have such perfect talents! Liza, I thank you for your attention and lovely personality and being a real human🤩 Netsu, my one4ever love! Ms.Rizka, a super star, the one who will get you to the moon and back with such an exceptional F&B experience!
