If it was possible I would give 10 stars instead of 5! Fantastic place 👇🏽 ⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️
Ambience: Restaurant is located in one of the beautiful hotels ( Mandarin oriental) right in the heart of Dubai. The interior is very chill and nicely decorated with an open kitchen / bar in the middle. Being able how the make the drinks was very entertaining as there was so much attention to details in the process. I have never enjoyed my cocktail this much as I could see how a little touch of this ingredient and a little touch of another ingredient came together to make up this refreshing, tasty drink. There was a live DJ in the house and the selection of music was just perfect. The whole ambience had such a positive vibe to it. There is also an outdoor space with a pool with a beautiful view of the sea. Absolutely loved the place. ⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️
Food: Amazing, amazing, amazing! One of the best food in Dubai. The ingredients were so fresh that me as someone who cooks a lot was wondering how they managed to find and keep the vegetables that fresh on this hot weather! The vegetables were so fresh as if u just picked them from garden 2 minutes ago. The food was very yummy , portions were just right and the presentation was superb. There was so much attention to details that was impressive . Loved the food ⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️
Service: Absolutely impeccable! One of the best services in town. The staff had such a positive attitude, very polite and charming. Every single individual was a pleasure to interact with. Absolute professionals , attentive yet respecting the privacy of the guests and being able to recognize when is the right time to approach the table . Very helpful and patient. Well aware of the menu and the nature of each dish. The whole team worked harmoniously together to creat a great experience for guests . ⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️
Overall: I should congratulate the management for being able to creat such an amazing experience for guests. It was by far one of the best restaurants I have been to and I highly...
Read moreWe actually came to see this beautiful newly opened hotel Mandarin oriental on jumeirah road and ended up to spice up the evening a bit at Tasca on sixth floor of this 5 star hotel. Tasca is an exciting new restaurant from culinary star José Avillez. The restaurant is named after the Portuguese word for tavern, Tasca is José Avillez’s first international opening, following on behind the other celebrated ventures in Portugal.
We were welcomed by maureen and introduced well with the intricately designed menu which includes Portuguese flavours with a contemporary twist,it bursts with character and flavour.
So we started with some drinks as suggested by Nalaka.one was white wine sangria served in wooden glass garnished with red cherry and osala with freshly crushed mint leaves, ginger ale and cinnamon. There is a wide variety of wine list of Portuguese wines and a number of craft cocktails. seafood and meat (especially pork), which is grilled, fried or cooked up in stews and casseroles. Diners can discover local and traditional Portuguese foods and seafood .Soups include fish soups, bread soups, cold tomato soups – and caldo verde the most famous soup in Portugal.
Marco was really helpful as with kids you always need some extra hands. For desserts egg-based desserts, flavoured with cinnamon and vanilla is the best to be relished at the end of a meal too.we also ordered some home made icecream and they came out to be really amazing my kids didnt leave a spoon behind.
The best part was the restaurant has its own pool on 6th floor onlooking the endless sea and seating that overlooks the full skyline on sheikh zayed road from trade centre until jw marquis.the seating options are allot..bar being in centre makes it look really ultra fancy. They do have cabana seating near pool as well.
Thank you so much for all the hospitality you guys are a great team.congratulations on the opening.Hope to come back soon.

Read moreI was expecting an experience in culinary art by the up and coming Jose Avillez , unfortunately it was a complete disappointing experience and no value for the money I paid
Atmosphere, very nice Resturant with a very nice view , maybe you can go there and get drinks for the afternoon or late night but food ! That’s another story !
Starters We choose the crunchy tempura octopus , I have to say there is nothing crunchy about it , there is a clear indication that the chef does not know they invented salt and pepper and a hint of octopus!
The breading was too much , oily no flavor absolute disaster , the sauce is “truffle and fish eggs “ I can hardly taste the truffle and the fish eggs are from the worst kind with allot of fatty cream that cannot be identified
Second choice was crab Cascais style , now you can hardly taste the crab , again no salt or pepper , bland no taste , we didn’t even finish the starter dish
Main course
Braised veal Very nice , no complains there , maybe the chef on the meat station is the only decent chef in this restaurant which also was clear on the second dish Wagyu tenderloin
I ordered CARABINIRO as per the waiter recommendations , what a disappointing dish Opposite to the starters it was over salty
wait I have to describe the fish first , large shrimp , butterfly grilled and a side salad , very large of lettuce, tomato and chili pepper , and a side garlic rise
So I started with the shrimp , no flavor , rice is undercooked with no taste of garlic and the large salad in the dish was sooooo salty I could not East it
The amazing thing is I told the waiter it’s too salty and no one cared to check or apologize or anything , very bad experience , definitely not going there...
