Third class customer service. Extremely unethical, and illiterate staff. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t judge services like this usually; but I’ve had a very wierd experience just now.

I went in with my wife, and 5 months old son. We were viewing the menu, and ordering while a waiter comes and tells me (doesn’t ask, tells me) to move my car) Please also note; it’s was 2:30 am when all parking, even if reserved for a shop, are public (reserved parking are only reserved until midnight unless otherwise stated on the board).

‘Move your car, the company car is waiting.’I was in the middle of the order; so continued ordering thinking I’ll just finish quickly and move the car, so the family can wait in the car while I collect my order. But no, he literally just came at me thrice; telling me to move the car. I don’t understand where is a reserved parking used for staff? It is always reserved for customers. Is it not? Here, at 2:30, the shop is telling the customer who are in with family to move. And literally being rude and shouting about it. Threatening.

Irritated, before I could even finish my order; because he didn’t let us; I asked my wife to take the kid in the car, I’ll move it somewhere else and then I’ll come back and finish the order. Ofcourse it was not as easy anymore, as she did not finish viewing the menu. However, we went back and as I was about to drive away, I saw the reserve parking board which clearly mentioned 8:00-12:00 for Belaban. Shocked, because it clearly says it is not theres at that hour to tell me to move away.

Annoyed, instead of moving the car I told him what he was doing is wrong. And I went back in to finish my order. He started threatening me. Shouting. To my surprise; the manager told the staff to not take my order anymore. They refused to serve me. Can you imagine ?

They are literally occupying govt. property? And when a ‘customer’ tells them that, they refuse to serve.

I went to the manager. Decent man, although the main man behind all this. Turns out he was in the car that was supposed to be parked there. I told him about the kind of service I am getting, he said he will teach his team better manners. I asked him if he could wait 2 mins I shouldn’t have because I had all the right to park there. But honestly, very weird experience, I think I should even raise this to the local police. They literally grouped against me, while I was with a kid and wife just to threaten me to move my car. What shocked me was the waiter started taking pictures of my car, trying to scare me that he will complain. lol

He actually thought I felt for that.

The owners should take better notice of what happened. Because I think I might raise a complaint to the authorities as well. They cannot overpower a customer and illegally take possession of public parking like that.

Picture of the board stating reserved parking times. Man standing next to the board was the person making threat.

Doesn’t this board always mean customers can park here ? It does everywhere else. If...

It's like Gelatos ice cream except that it's open late. Everything else is good for those of an arab culture but so-so for everyone else.

Menus are in arabic and don't really explain on the screens. The camera scan menu doesn't really explain what the item is.

For example, we wanted ice cream and wanted to know if they had it, what flavours they had, what prices there were, toppings, etc. But, the English menu did not explain any of that.

So, we had to ask them ourselves and even their English wasn't great. You have to speak in broken English. For someone from the uae or who's lived here for some time, this should be easy.

I'm sure their deserts are great, but the menu's don't really help you, and communicating in english won't either. I would strongly recommend bringing along an arabic friend to explain it to you.

The nice unique thing is that they have male and female line. The bad thing is that regardless of the order number, whoever shows their receipts first, they have a chance of getting their order instead of someone with a smaller order who ordered before them.

There is no proper waiting area and no sitting area. The customer service is beyond slow. Firstly, because your order number is not important, and then the staff has a tendency to start chatting randomly and forget about customers standing in front of them waiting for their orders.

Good for late night ice cream. It's not good for customer service. It's also not good for menu understanding for...

I recently had the pleasure of trying a couple of desserts from this place, and I must say, they truly exceeded my expectations. I ordered the Mango Kushari and the Pecan Chocolate Kushari, and both were absolutely delightful in their own unique ways.

The Mango Kushari was a refreshing treat that stood out immediately. It was made with fresh, juicy mangoes that tasted incredibly natural and vibrant — not artificial or overly sweet. The crispy kunafa vermicelli layered with cream provided a perfect textural contrast, adding a satisfying crunch and richness without being overwhelming. What I loved most was how well-balanced the sweetness was. It was indulgent but not too heavy, making it easy to enjoy every bite without feeling like it was too much.

On the other hand, the Pecan Chocolate Kushari was a bit on the sweeter side, but still incredibly delicious. The combination of chocolate with the buttery, crunchy pecans was outstanding. The chocolate added a decadent touch, while the nuts brought in a roasted, earthy flavor that elevated the entire dessert. It had that perfect comfort-food feel — rich, sweet, and satisfying.

I ordered both desserts online, and I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth the entire process was. The delivery was prompt and everything arrived fresh and in perfect condition. It's clear that a lot of care goes into both the preparation and presentation...

Having heard the buzz on social media, I decided to check out B.Laban near Noor Mosque in Al Majaz. The anticipation was high, and I must say, I wasn't entirely disappointed. This place seems to have garnered quite a reputation, especially in Saudi Arabia. The menu boasted a variety of unique dishes, which piqued my interest. I opted for the Mango Qushtuta, drawn in by the promise of pure mango goodness. It didn't disappoint; the flavor was indeed extraordinary. However, the fried ice cream, while decent, didn't quite live up to the hype. The vanilla was standard, but the pistachio flavor stood out. One standout dish was the Lotus Kushari, offering a pleasant balance of flavors with just the right amount of sweetness. It's worth noting that all the items I tried were laden with ice cream, cheese, and sweetness, making them less suitable for those watching their diet or managing sugar intake. Despite the mixed experience, I found B.Laban's offerings intriguing, especially considering it's a relatively new brand. The location near Noor Mosque is convenient, although be prepared for crowds, especially during peak times. It seems to be a hit among Arab patrons, adding to its appeal. Overall, B.Laban is worth a visit for those with a sweet tooth seeking unique dessert experiences, but temper your expectations and be mindful of the indulgent offerings.

Dessert cravings? Try their newly launched Halibo Yuh Yuh and it was pure bliss! The hot grilled bun is toasted to perfection with your choice of creamy spread—either Nutella or Pistachio sauce. This is filled with cold, refreshing ice cream. The combination of hot and cold is just divine, and at only AED 12, it's an absolute steal! I also couldn't resist their trending pistachio Qashtuta. This creamy milkcake, topped with rich pistachio sauce and loaded with tons of dry fruits, is a must-try. It’s the perfect way to satisfy your late-night dessert cravings for just AED 23! If you're a dessert lover like me, B. Laban is the place to be. You can find this trending Egyptian dessert shop in Al Majaz, opposite Al Noor Mosque, Sharjah, and at many other locations across Dubai. Don't miss out—give it a try! The only issue is space. You can't sit and only pick up option is available. You can't stand outside in this mid summer.
