BioCafe — Restaurant in Aberdeen City

I went with two friends, one dairy free, and the other a vegetarian. The loaded hot dog tasted strange, and was definately not the nicest vegan substitute for meat I've had. The caramel and pecan waffles had a "home-made sweet yoghurt" which I can only describe as tasting more like sour cream. Overall very disappointing, but the worst part was the staff, none of whom wore a mask or adhered to social distancing. The cafe is small, so maintaining a 1m distance is not possible, but none of the 4 staff members wore a mask when talking to customers, or serving food. I am surprised they are allowed to go without masks, considering the current pandemic. Overall a disappointing experience, and I definately suggest avoiding this place if you are concerned...

We arrived around 2PM on a Saturday and were shown to a table by our lovely waitress. As a vegan and vegetarian haven, this cafe knows how to please! The menu is fantastic and I noted the fairtrade Karma Cola on the menu - a big thumbs up for that.

We ordered from the street food section - the Overloaded Hotdog and Falafel Souvlaki. My bulletproof coffee arrived first - pure bliss. My partner opted for the self-service still water, keeping it simple and refreshing.

It was our first visit to the biocafe and I was suprised and delighted to find everything was vegan! The joy of having an entire menu of delicious looking dishes to choose from without having to check for allergens (vegetarian who can't have dairy either). I chose a oat milk chai latte which was superb, and savoury waffles with mushrooms which were exceptional. So much nom ❤️ my husband had a budda bowl and an americano which he said was delicious.
