Sofra Turkısh Restaurant Aberdeen — Restaurant in Aberdeen City

First visit since Nargile closed was rather disappointing. The food was awesome as always, it seems to be the same menu, so absolutely no issues there.

The service however was appalling. There were maybe 8 tables in total, with 2 servers, neither of whom seemed to know what they were doing. We were left without drinks and had to ask to be served them, even with one server constantly wandering past doing their utmost to not look at the patrons.

Once we finally got drinks, we then had to wait again for the other server to then ask us for our food orders, with the ludicrous question "have you decided yet, or I can come back later".

When finished the meal, it was almost 15 mins before someone came to take the dishes, and then almost the same again to get the attention of a server to actually pay for the meal. By this time there were 4 tables left as mostly people were there pre-theatre presumably.

I'm not sure if this was their first day or not, but I've never had as inattentive servers in any restaurant I've been too. Hopefully this was just a one off, but please, up the game, as the Nargile was one of the best restaurants in Aberdeen.

I had dinner with some friends to celebrate my birthday at Sofra, and I couldn't have wished for a better venue. The food was really tasty, fresh and delicious, and the service was really welcoming and attentive. The Turkish wines were really good too. We all really enjoyed this restaurant, and I will be coming back for more...
