China Town Aberdeen — Restaurant in Aberdeen City

Back story- I arrived at Aberdeen today feeling under the weather. I immediately went to buy chicken soup and tea. Then I took a nap to hopefully feel better for dinner.

When I woke up I did my research and saw that this place had good reviews and the Wong ton soup looked good and since my throat was not feeling the best I decided to walk over and bring food back to my Airbnb.

I walk in look at the menu then a waiter comes and asks what I need. I say I wanted food "To go" and he says to me very rudely.. "No food to go, take out!"

I smiled and I said sorry, take out.

I asked for the bbq short ribs, the Wong ton soup and a yellow chicken curry. Then he asked if I wanted rice with the curry.. and rudely said "because you need a side of rice, you eat that with rice" as if I was dumb and didn't know.

I smiled and said, Yes, rice please.

He walked to the register, asked if it was going to be cash, I said no credit card and I paid.

I went and sat at a table that was empty to wait.

About 15 minutes later a waitress comes over with prawn chips. That I was actually thinking about getting but forgot.

She says.. "Here for you." I said, oh no I'm not eating here I'm waiting for my take out order. And she says... No is okay, here you eat while you wait.

I was like ok, thank you. So I started eating them.

About another 10 minutes passed by and the guy that took my order came with my food and screamed at me... "These chips are not for you!" while I literally had one in my mouth and he grabs the basket and screams at me to go.

I told him, that the girl brought them and I said I was waiting for my food and she said to eat while I wanted and once again he screams at me.. "No, just go!"

I almost threw the half eaten chip at his face. But I'm not that rude like him. I am feeling horrible cause I am sick, you don't need to treat me like I'm dumb.

I was going to write a review as I walked back to my Airbnb but decided to wait until I tried the food so I could give one also based on that and not just the service.

So here it goes.

Yello chicken curry - flavorless Wonton soup- actually really good Bbq pork ribs - okay

The only thing I did finish was the soup.

I know for a fact I will never go back to that place if I visit...

First time eating here and I can honestly say it won’t be the last. This is the best Chinese food I have tasted in Aberdeen. I had the chicken and sweetcorn soup which was full of large pieces of chicken and not filled out with sweetcorn. My wife had bbq spare ribs that were very tasty and were falling off the bone. I had the Soo Chow Duck cooked perfectly with all meats and veg extremely tender and very tasty. My wife had her default dish of Chicken fried rice with curry sauce that she said was delicious but the portion was too much so they gave her a doggy bag ( lunch for me tomorrow) . Staff were very friendly and attentive but non intrusive.Would highly recommend...

We decided to try this place. Lovely place staff are very dry. Our meal took along time to even get to us. The worst thing was i ordered a noodle soup no chicken. As i can't eat much meat. What followed i cant comprehend! 🤢🤮🤢🤮 the noodles were in some really dark juice but the smell from the bowl was like an off fishy smell. Its was horrible. I was nearly sick. All i got from the waiter was "well u asked for it with no chicken" i order this everytime from many chinese resturants & have never bn served what ever that was! Rest of meal was ok but chips had a funny taste to them. This place has put me off chinese food....
